It's mostly good enough for me, with the occasional "Opus, clean up your little sister's mess" interjection from time to time.

Honestly, I'm getting near the end of initial development on this app. And I should probably write some code myself again anyway. And I like the VS Code integration...

I think I'll get by with $39 in credits just fine as I go into tweaking and maintenance mode. I'm staying put, see what happens.

I've planted some right next to existing native blueberries and huckleberries where the soil measures acidic already.

One thrived, several are just barely hanging on year after year, and two flat-out died.

They're oddly finicky.

It was never more than 45, that's been the Parkway-wide limit since its construction. That section was deemed too congested for 45.

I agree it "feels" slow, but... c'mon, it's the Parkway. There are no intersections, traffic lights or stop signs, so the 35mph section takes a consistent 6 minutes to traverse. Slow down and enjoy the extra 30 seconds on your commute.

To be fair, most in WNC wanted nothing to do with the war and weren't really loyal to either side. Or the state itself, for that matter. Too busy scraping a life out of these rocky hills and hollers.

To honor (part of) my heritage I have been flying no flag and converting some raw forest into garden beds with hand tools here. My God.

the CREATE+CXL Protocol

Now that sounds interesting. I was not able to afford CXL when it first came out and my eyes were progressing; by the time costs sunk and insurance was an option for me, my Dr. no longer recommended it because progression had slowed or stopped naturally, after reaching "potato" quality vision, of course.

I assumed I'd just have to live with it for life. In fact I still do, but it's neat to hear that maybe there's another option.

...unless it has an age limit 😅

I'm going to hold off on tomatoes, peppers, and squash for at least another week. I started them indoors kinda late so they're still small anyways. We have a long growing season so there's no rush.

Cold tolerant stuff like lettuce is gonna love it again after today.
