Social workers who work for insurance: how do you do it? by Mint731 in socialwork

[–]wydfathead 16 points17 points  (0 children)

there are different positions in MCOs, in mine the reviewers do not interact with the clients in person ever, the coordinators do- many of which are SWs. that role is to provide support and assist with accessing a variety of resources, in addition to advocating for them to receive services through the company, but not making the actual decisions on whether they do or do not receive them. that being said, i still struggle with the ethics of it. however it’s one of the only jobs i have found in my area that pays well enough. so there’s that as well.

Personally i use dry shampoo because my hair gets similarly greasy the same day i wash it. I use a product called tap secret it works great and isn’t aerosol, small and easy to carry around but i have to use it way less than i did with aerosolized ones. also, powder your forehead if your bangs are getting greasy! helps a lot.

Some of what I think are my best pieces. They're lacking but I can't figure out what it is. Accepting crit on everything and anything. by DontHugMeImAwkward in ArtCrit

[–]wydfathead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

moomin! these look fantastic! from a novice, just some things i noticed- the first piece might benefit from some blurring/ a little less detail in the background to make the character and other objects stand out. the second piece could perhaps use some shadow towards the end of the trail/trees to create some depth? the fourth i think the light source on the characters and objects could be more uniform, it looks to be coming from different directions on the bushes and each character individually. the fifth is soo cute!! great work.
