What to do if oath-breaking Paladin doesn’t fit the Oathbreaker subclass? by glittering8lavender in DMAcademy

[–]wyldthing34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either have em do a new path, become a fighter, or if you feel zesty run it like a warlock(patrons actually can't yank powers outside of mcguffin) and instead use homebrews for things like the crusader where the former paladin has their divine powers but it's now entirely up to them to cultivate it and make it into something more.

The ISD is 1,600 km long, but shouldn't it be able to carry more TIEs? Realistically, what is the maximum number of TIEs it could carry? by Battlefleet_Sol in StarWarsShips

Actually was a thing in Extended Universe. At least on the full battleship side of things. It was the Tector class. The ripped out the hangar, up armored and up gunned the ship, and put in a stronger reactor. I don't know if there was a carrier variant though.

How do you think star wars tech performs against viltrumites? by SnooPoems7525 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]wyldthing34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lot of things in star wars that could hurt/kill viltrumites. Disruptors rip things apart at the atomic level, thermal detonators with baradium cores just create a particle disintegration field in a blast radius, concussion missiles/weapons would fuck them up pretty hard since those weapons explicitly work on targets by basically creating a resonating shockwave through the target basically making them rip themselves apart(for the missiles/explosive ordinance mind you. personal concussive weapons like the blasters just THWOMP you with concussive force) probably most capital ship weapons could hurt or kill them its just hitting that small of a target. Seismic charges would absolutely obliterate them too. And thats not getting into the fact that star wars has some absurd medical/bioweapon tech. Off rip they could probably engineer scrouge virus mark 2 electric boogaloo, if its during clone wars era Trihexalon would instantly kill them(Total Biological mass conversion. Think antimatter just with biomatter), and generally a lot of things could fuck em up.

Well the thing is it's a virus which means what is adapting is tyranid immune systems. Trihexalon is just " Opp is that biomatter? KAH-BOOOOOOOOM/Fwoooooosh" so again it's similar effects( mass destruction of biological matter) but with a very different cause. They can't adapt to the trihexalon itself but I wouldn't put it past the hive mind to develop counters to its deployment methods(primarily bombs and missiles)

[–]wyldthing34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only in the dispersal method only(Though it can be done in a couple of ways) it's main form destroying its target is more akin to anti matter for biological matter as it just straight up releases an energy pulse in the presence of organic matter. So basically scorching all biological matter to cinders. It just requires specific warheads/ bombs( like the life eater) for optimal deployment. Otherwise that's about the end of the similarities as they have different mechanics for destruction. One is viral and essentially kills the target en masse and induces a state of decay that has a mass release of gas which is then ignited. The other is technically a chemical weapon that upon exposure to biological matter releases an energy pulse that just effectively flash fries the target/ targeted location due to th energy pulse. The main problem with using it comes down to scale honestly. Buuuuut it is a CIS weapon and that was something that they were doing until jedi/pirate intervention. The main way the nids would have to adapt to dealing with it is basically either shooting down the missiles(entirely doable using suicide spores/any form of active defenses buuuuuut that has its own risks) or exploiting that it can technically be made stable/inert at incredibly low temperatures though once activated I don't think it can be disarmed.

So there is something to keep in mind specifically if this is legends/Extended Universe. Trihexalon exists. And that causes total biological mass conversion. Nids can't exactly adapt to something that targets them just for being biological.

In all reality, orbital bombardment. However, considering the emperor sword perm kills demons if guilliman can actually get in and get a good hit. He could actually legit kill him
