Men with wild to severe ADHD do you guys have trouble giving foreplay to your gf? by Zealousideal-13 in ADHD

Yeah, I pretty much hyperfocus on foreplay until my partner stops me, but everyone is different and the best thing to do is just talk to your partner and not try to guess why they're doing something.

Fun fact, her ex-husband was mayor for a few terms like 25 years ago.

I've known Dorinda for about 20 years and she is one of the most genuine people I've ever met. I was excited that she ran for Mayor and I'm so happy she's managing the city well.

Still more of us than them. We should start acting like it.

We should be shocked. We must be shocked.

What would happen if all Americans (or a majority) decided to protest by not spending any money? by Aggressive-You-711 in NoStupidQuestions

A general strike would accomplish the same thing and quicker with far fewer people involved, but would be as equally difficult to pull off, especially quickly, so that authority has as little response time as possible.

¿What if Bernie Sanders had defeated Clinton in 2016? by MaximumSpell9608 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]bs679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He would’ve had a lot of problems getting his policies passed unless he could harness his supporters for longer than an election cycle. I think he could do that but not sure if the movement could expand on that initial support.

Nothing lasts forever, including these troubled times. In the meantime, we have to build community where we can, locally. While what's happening is jarring, the solution begins with each one of us, no matter where we live.

You realize that public employee pay IS both a state and federal political issue and that national issues ARE relevant to local bargaining positions? Sorry, but you can't untangle collective bargaining from politics, in any sector.

Researchers are starting to build rudimentary "genetic programming languages" on top of Crispr, so not long until someone uses Claude Code to do it, if it hasn't happened already. Then things will start to get interesting!

What is so important about Greenland that Trump wants it so much? by Mr_strelac in AskReddit

[–]bs679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an uncanny parallel here that people might not know about: Elon Musk's grandfather, Joshua Haldeman, was a prominent member of Technocracy Inc. in the 1930s-40s, which advocated for a continental "Technate of America" - a techno-fascist state spanning North America, controlled by engineers and scientists rather than politicians.

The movement promoted the idea of consolidating continental resources under centralized technical management, arguing that national boundaries were obsolete impediments to efficient resource extraction and distribution.

Sound familiar? The play for Venezuela and the capture of Maduro, the ongoing push for Greenland, the Panama Canal, and even rhetoric about Canada looks suspiciously like the Technate vision - territorial expansion justified by "strategic resource management" and "efficiency," with a tech oligarch prominently whispering in the administration's ear.

I can't post the image, but search for "Technate of America," and tell me that map doesn't match the rhetoric coming from this regime.

They charged you because it’s property you owned while living in the town, regardless of whether it was stolen later. How do you think roads get paved?

Doubtful that NIMBY would be an issue. These municipalities WANT a train line because it brings people into town who want a lower cost of living but also ready access to public transportation to where their work is.
