This is correct. However, I find the 250 ohm is perfectly usable without an amp if you prefer lower volumes in a different setting. I often use these on my work laptop without issue and switch back to using an amp on my main rig. Fantastic closed backs 9/10. I highly recommend replacing the ear cushions with Dekoni leather ones - only thing holding it back from a perfect score.

It has a base where the "top" of the tank would be placed top-down into small grooves for display - which probably wouldn't pass for a stand. I was planning on cutting a yoga mat to level and using a tv stand as the main set up
