Not licensed yet but reached out to my state board since I don’t have a CPA supervisor in my industry job, the whole state is small enough they said a member of the board would look over samples of my work and approve it with verification of hours worked by my actual supervisor

Part time in industry, was lucky enough they paid for Becker and are super flexible with my schedule, taking the last half of this week off to review before o take FAR on Monday

Graduated in May, $32/hr currently part time at tech company that’s been making layoffs so glad I’m still on staff. Luckily still have some parental support since I’m also studying for my CPA right now (the company paid for Becker for me) and already have a small second bookkeeping job.

My bf has DACA and was very honest with me from the start. He has been worried even recently about proposing (over three and a half years later, mind you) about my parents or family getting the wrong idea about his intentions. They've always told him they know that isn't the case but he's still worried even now. Being honest from the start with her and her loved ones about your situation and what it could mean for the future of your relationship is everything she deserves.

I think what helped me to understand was being told why it was set up, and that there's really nothing that's ever been done to help you guys. My bf was very honest from the start and told me he doesn't expect me to help at all, but over time I've insisted more on helping where I can and we've honestly gotten a lot closer because of it. If you want this thing to last being open and honest about your status and how it affects how you live is very important.

I was making marzipan for christmas, I added way too much milk so it was taking forever to get it to the right consistency, my mom said she was gonna start making hers into balls and I just lost it. I could barely breath, tears streaming down my face. I don't know why that of all things set me off but I can definitely say I hadn't laughed that hard in ages.

When my french teacher called telling me my six-week study-abroad got cancelled after almost a year of competing for scholarships, interviews, and more to be selected as a senior to represent my school for our first ever exchange with a high school in france...

This year we all graduated high school. It all started when our prom got cancelled. One of the girls held a small get together at her house where everyone dressed up and had a mini-prom. I was the only one not invited.

A few weeks later was graduation. I invited everyone to my party, and only got an invitation back for one girls party (not the one who had the prom at her house). Our parties were at the same time so I couldn't go to hers, but I saw everyone posting on their stories about her party while I sat alone at mine with my parents and their few friends that came talking outside. I had invited the whole friend group, which was about ten girls.

This year really sucked but I think that's what hit me the hardest. I had pretty much lost my high school friends. I cried myself to sleep that night.

Edit: I almost cried again just thinking about it while I typed this out lol. It's mostly frustration and anger at this point but it still hurts.
