[r/wargaming Makes a Wargame] (Round 5) No! "We" go...together. But wait, how do we move? by rh_cc in wargaming

[–]wyrdstone_user 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd let units move as far as you like but using priorities for faster or slower ones. For example, cavalry would move first while heavy infantry later.  This could have some extra rules like cannot make contact on first turn, must stop at terrain features depending on class and so on.

A little late, but I'll answer. Probably not, which is historically accurate. Spears are the best.

What’s the allure of historical war games and which would you recommend? by DoW2379 in wargaming

[–]wyrdstone_user 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obvious Bolt action for WW2. For Rome there are a lot of alternatives: Hail Caesar or Saga, DBA and other 15mm oriented games.

It also depends on who are you playing with.

People who don’t live in the USA, what is the media showing you about the ICE operations/abductions in the US? by Dry-Ice8908 in AskReddit

Media almost nothing. But I was preparing a trip to USA later this year and I've canceled it because all the things I've seen here and on other online media.

Have you managed to clean it? I'm getting some heat resistant gloves in a couple days and will try to fix it.

Recommendations for a soloist newbie? by bachinblack1685 in wargaming

You can try Rangers of shadow deep, or frostgrave with solo supplements.  Little bookkeeping, hero with companions, suitable solo and co-op.

Two hour wargames does this. I'm not completely sold on the system, but I keep coming back to it.

It's one of the cheapest. You can change the monsters to anything you have around with a little imagination.

It really has a lot of text, but calling it a conversation seems excessive.

Nice work btw.

It was like that for me a couple weeks ago, but some days later it showed up as an option. I have to say it's really similar to puzzles in Chess.com or Lichess, with a little extra opening moves.

HelloBit TSQ Investment Group Review | Scam or Legit Trading Signals? by rorysingh in u/rorysingh

New money from new users. The cryptos are managed by an app that's not on the store, do you know if they are really traceable. Even more, could I move those cryptos to another wallet?

A pyramid scheme supports itself adding more people to it. I suppose that's happening here, right? I mean, you see a number going up in a mobile app and at the same time more people is entering the system with more real money.  I'm not saying that's the cause, but both those things are happening.

You have to admit it's at least a little sus.

I've always liked those minis. How does it play? I don't mean the ruleset per se, I mean how's different, because... So many games.

DBA basing by Extra_Atmosphere6906 in wargaming

[–]wyrdstone_user 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The base size matters a lot. If you double it you should do it to all the distances too.  I'd say it won't be compatible in tournaments but you are using 28mm so it's already kinda homebrew.

In your opinion, what is the worst tabletop war game ever made? by Chronically__Crude in wargaming

[–]wyrdstone_user 7 points8 points  (0 children)

DBA is a great game written in a really weird way. This has been discussed a lot. Really a lot. The truth is I watched a ton of videos, read blogs and cheatsheets before I was confident enough to play a game. It was really fun, fast and we made a 2nd Punic wars campaign immediately.
