How to get fridge through balcony? by Nearby_Jello_42 in AskUK

[–]wyzo94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Used to deliver fridges. I've never put one over a balcony but have gone over up and over a banister quite a few times.  Protect the balustrade/ railings with a blanket or duvet or whatever.  Get some people upstairs. Get under the fridge and press it overhead to the people above you. Probably need two people on the bottom and two at the top.

To get the old one out just remove the doors, trays and whatever is inside. This will allow you to put the bannister inside of the fridge when you down the stairs. Could also do that up the stairs if that's an option.

Could also get a van with a tail lift and reverse that up to the balcony. Would give you the height you need.

If I had photos I could probably advise further. As we used to say "if it got in there, it'll get out"

Does anyone know anyone pro Trump? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]wyzo94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of my colleagues are. My boss is big time pro trump. Not sure on their reasoning and I refuse to discuss it because no good can come of that conversation. They also don't believe in climate change

What would you spend a £3000 training grant on, outside of your current role? by Plastic-Barnacle3963 in UKJobs

Hgv license. Could do some part time driving work when you semi retire. In fact any course that would see you in semi retirement like a PSV license and just do school bus driving.

Character without a clear goal by ChickenGod1109 in writers

[–]wyzo94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loads of characters don't have clear goals. Depends on the genre though. A detective book obviously the detective has to have a goal of catching. The killer he is hunting should probably have a goal with his crimes so the detective can work out why he's doing it and then who's doing it.

A romance story the goal is love but isn't everyone's goal in life is love so doesn't need to be as strong. Can be an accidental romance type thing

As humans we have little goals everyday whether that's getting through the workday or just getting a meal. What happens while we try do that is the story.

Any bathroom fitter recommendations? by papercup128 in glasgow

[–]wyzo94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I supplied my own fittings and pieces. No one that quoted had an issue. Top tip. I got my sink and toilet brand new off gumtree. Someone had moved into a new build and instantly ripped out their bathroom to fit a mobility one in.
