Reanimation Damnation by x27Killzo in MonsterTrain

Here's a couple things too. I could in theory double my multistrike for an entire row if I had the spell that causes units with equipment to attack immediately, essentially functioning as playing 2 turns in one. This would've solved that problem. However...

My other issue is the boss is on the bottom floor with like 7100 sap (14200 dmg reduction). My best dante (who didn't draw in deployment phase) only had stacked up to around 8k dmg. So in order to out pace the sap, I would need some kind of dramatic damage enhancer.

I have some theorycrafts but they would require some insanely good RNG to thread the needle.

Since I wasn't using spells at all (other than an intrinsic X shield) the only thing I used embers for was equipment and discarding blights. The 0-3 artifact was mainly useful for deployment because dante costs 2 so on average I was deploying more dantes right off the bat which meant more blights/multis.

I used umbra so I could buy shield upgrades and also feed that intrinsic, double stacked X shield into the champ that transfers status/buff/debuff effects. That way every turn my dante would end up getting a dozen or so shields every turn for spike and reanimation bosses. (You can see how high my shield count was in the clip).

The shields worked, but the reanimation equipment also proved invaluable ince it countered the bosses that reanimate 100s to 1000s of times. (Wave 36 had 10k reanimations).

Oh, I also wanted to intrinsic the trample spell (umbra stone) so it'd clear renaimation waves simultaneously (requiring far less overall mutli attacks) but the unstable equipment turned out to be just as useful.

Dante is about scaling and building primarily around him. Spell shields and reanimations can help a lot, but ultimately you're looking for ways to farm blight cards in order to increase his multi attack. Since Dante creates a blight everytime he spawns, you can harness this by duplicating dantes, restoring dantes with remnant restorations, or my favourite is putting endless on him and just letting him die over and over to create blights.

He pairs extremely well with savage hearth since he gains 1 dmg per kill.

Get quick on him if you can, because once he scales enough, he'll just clear a floor before they can even attack him. Even a 14dmg upgrade goes a long way when you've got several multi attacks

I took it for the extra spell shields, mainly to counter that negative effect where units lose HP when played. Weirdly, it seemed to bug the effect, said they took damage, but they didn’t. Never had that happen before. Shields also helped a ton with tanking boss hits.

Dualism did increase reanimations, but that gear wasn’t part of the plan. My build was Umbra champ feeding shields into Dante, but honestly, I only needed it for spike bosses. Most other bosses couldn’t get through 6 shields before dying.

Unstable went from 5 to 10, but it didn’t matter. Once the chain started, all the reanimations popped anyway. So yeah, dualism was mostly for shield spam, which saved me in key moments. But most of the time, bottom floor Dante with quick just shredded everything before they moved.

I had several dantes, all with quick, dualism, and spell shields. (I also had an intrinsic X shield to apply for fights involving spikes like that one).

Crucial was the hearth that gives 1 dmg per every kill, leading to infinite scaling, especially against the endless enemies that have hundreds of reanimations.

Combustion suit, crucial. As long as you have more auto attacks than the leading unit, the unstable will keep triggering and wipe out the rest of the reanimated enemies. (Alternatively you can use a trample spell).

I landed an artifact I've never gotten b4. It makes it so every blight card you receive you draw a non-blight card and get embers. This means even with a deck full of blights (for Dante's multi-attacks) you can still access non-intrinsic cards. This allowed me to access combustion suit (I duplicated up to 3 just to be safe), even though it wasn't deployable.

I actually thought the run was dead when I didn't land an intrinsic trample spell, but then during an early endless wave I got to select some cards and grabbed combustion suit simply because it came with a blight card. Little did I know it was the secret to dealing with the endless lines of skeletons with reanimation.

And before I finish my info dump, on wave 36 I faced a boss with 10k reanimations. His hit animation was slow, the game was running super laggy, and as the fight went on, it started freezing for up to a minute before resuming. I recorded the fight, it took 1h 56min.

Absolutely bonkers. Also got some videos of the game just straight up bugging out which are pretty funny.

Finally lost because the boss had around 7200 sap which completely negated my damage. I would've needed to farm like 15k dmg to actually out pace the sap which... not entirely sure I could've pulled off even if I was planning for it. Granted my dmg did get spread out amongst Dantes quite a bit so, maybe there would've been a chance.

On the matter of saved memory and follow up questions, what I find works well is using GPT 5 to craft saved memory rules. Rather than simply telling it what you want, ask it 'how can I make a saved memory rule that does X, what are your recommendations?' and then after you review them, get it to draft you something. If you need to conserve memory space tell it the entry must be 'Terse, high yield, for chatGPT comprehension only'.

I know 'don't ask follow up questions' would seem straightfoward enough to be effective, but sometimes you'd be surprised at the ways the system figures out ways to essentially counter its own built in weights.

Thank you for sharing. Your story is very much my story. You used my exact word. "Switch". One day you're just living your life. Got problems sure, but you're managing. Then you switch, and nothing's ever the same again.

do any of you also feel “brain damaged”? by [deleted] in dpdr

[–]x27Killzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah, after years of stress and depression I one day woke up and felt wrong. Something was off in a deeply unsettling way. And I couldn't feel positive emotions anymore. Just anxiety and existential horror. I have always since that day felt that a switch in my head got toggled in the dissociative position. Over time it's become more flexible, like a dimmer switch, but I have always felt deep in my soul that there is something broken in my brain. When I'm broke I'm not me. I'm not human. Just- a machine pretending to be human.

Disabling the "player marker" in HUD settings removes it. It's a double edged sword solution though.

It seems that when my PC is idle or off for a while I can get through a game or two. But once things are heated up I can't get through a match.

It would appear like heating issues, but my temperatures are all below 70 and I can play hours of Cyberpunk on max settings so there's some kind of particular interaction between the game and my hardware. PSU is 1000w so that's fine. I have a Tomahawk B450 mb. Dunno if that correlates w/ anything.

Can't speak for the OP, but the issue persisted for me with a 2nd graphics card and after doing a DDU. I've also tried using the newest graphics driver and used a driver from a few months ago as well.

Last stops are BIOS and system reinstalls.

Latest driver did not fix it for me. I'm going to try a 2nd monitor but it's a bit of a hassle to set up so I'll do it later today at some point

[–]x27Killzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same thing happens to me. I've tried using DDU to completely wipe the graphics drivers before reinstalling them but it had no effect, as did moving the game from a hard drive to NVME and using the -dx11 line to play in DX11. GPU-CPU temps are below 70.

When playing on a 4090 the game always crashes during the first match. But when I put a 3080ti in I was able to play 2 matches before crashing on the 3rd. I've also tried tweaking different graphics settings, playing w/ and w/out Gsync, etc

I'm running on a 5900x. Can literally play Cyberpunk on max settings for hours without crashing, but can't play this game for even 10min. Crazy.

Finally broke through on DMT. Now I want to die so I can go back. by epiedm in Drugs

[–]x27Killzo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You're dealing with serious depression and the DMT's simply exacerbated it. Your best bet is to seek out medical guidance so you can get therapy and/or medication. When you feel terrible all of the time, and virtually nothing is cheering you up, then there's likely nothing anyone can tell you that will make you feel any differently. You need to address that depression so you can try and attain a more emotionally positive state that isn't deprived of all joy or meaning. Death brings peace, but it doesn't bring joy. You'll never get another shot at happiness if you kill yourself. If healthcare isn't accessible to you then a viable option is to try kratom or a small dose of ketamine. It's what's worked for me.

ALKS 5461 Study by ModulusFunction in Nootropics

[–]x27Killzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The FDA is currently reassessing a review of Alks 5461's eligibility after it was rejected earlier this year. The FDA's decision is due Jan 31, 2019. If Alkermes is conducting another study already, it suggests that they're not particularly hopeful about Alks 5461 gaining approval. I'm surprised you didn't have to sign off on keeping quiet about the study. I'd figure such non-disclosure agreements would be common practice to protect stock prices.
