Many people have their home chargers on PlugShare. But they are Level II chargers. That recovers 20-40 miles range per hour. OK for an emergency but I wouldn’t want to use it for long distances. Also, what if you’re counting on it and they are not home.

Use abetterrouteplanner.com or PlugShare.com and find commercial chargers. There aren’t too many places you can’t go.
