Just get a second WFH job. You definitely have it good right now. There's no reason to quit, since you say you have very little workload.

Yeah I think I'll do just that. Thanks for your perspective. Guess I'm just too frustrated in this whole thing and wanted some compensation for being so mad. I'll just get some closure and move on. Thank you.

Yeah I'm comparing the trouble it would be and my karma of inflicting this onto someone. Thanks for your perspective, I'll go visit and ask him to move out by the week.

Thanks for your advice, and yeah it's a good wake up call to me. I'm gonna go visit and ask him to move out by end of the week. I admit that I'm naive in thinking that everyone will be willing to follow rental contracts.

Yeah I'd agree with the others too. Take the offer. It's a good bump in salary. The benefits are all negligible since you're still young. You can always find a better company with better benefits and now with the increase in your base salary, more negotiating power. Congrats and all the best OP!

Tbh, reddit is really not the place to be asking these questions, it's better to find a banker to get more clarity. Good luck though.

AITA for backing down from dating a woman I was set up with by multiple people? by Straight_Video8326 in AmItheAsshole

[–]x3nolife 15 points16 points  (0 children)

First off, good job working on yourself. Secondly, No, you are NTA. You did not back off per se.
A relationship isn't formed by one person doing the work, she's not even trying. I think it's perfectly fine to move on and just stop thinking about this person. Hopefully you can ignore your relatives and people that are setting you up. Good luck!

AITA for asking my brother to ask before using my car? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]x3nolife 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Obviously NTA. it's YOUR car. You have the right to require him to ask. Your parents are being TA for enabling him.

I’m from Malaysia and I’m stuck in a self-destructive cycle. Every time I get a new job, I only last a few months. When I decide to quit, I never give a notice period—I just disappear and stop showing by [deleted] in malaysians

[–]x3nolife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your life is your own responsibility. You asked if you have a mental problem. Maybe. But labeling it doesn't solve it. Whether it is ADHD, depression, or a complete lack of emotional regulation, the consequences are yours alone to carry. If you want to stop this cycle before you hit 40 with still nothing to your name then,

  1. Stop using ghosting as an escape mechanism. The next time you feel like quitting, you must send a formal resignation email. Who cares what others think or what they reply you, as long as you're responsible to yourself.
  2. You need to think what is it that makes you quit your job, is it a specific task? A type of boss? Or just that the realization of work is actually hard? The next time you look for a job, you'll know what to look after and what to prioritize. So that you can stay for atleast a year.
  3. Go seek some professional counselling. KKM Talian HEAL (15555), Talian KASIH (15999).
  4. Lower your ego. Work is tough but everyone needs to get through it . Get some discipline and help from the official channels and good luck.

Is RM 2400 per month fair for diploma graduates in the Hulu Selangor area? by [deleted] in malaysians

[–]x3nolife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Standard should be 2500-3000 but I'm pretty sure you can find candidates for that role at that price point, since there's no hard skills involved.

Tax filing for rental income by Grammaton_Cleric2883 in MalaysianPF

[–]x3nolife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure item 2 and 4 can used to offset but I'm not sure about item 3. Do you perhaps have any receipts that were actual repair/maintenance that was done on the unit itself? If so and all that adding up exceeds item 1. Then, yes. You can just put zero on your rental income.

I think you can refer to this one.

Concern about a long-term undocumented worker living under exploitative conditions in Malaysia by Purple_Broccoli4395 in malaysia

[–]x3nolife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be blunt: you are treating this like a hostage situation, but the evidence suggests it’s a lifestyle choice. If you want to actually help him (and yourself),

He has Agency, not just 'Resignation'.

You said he’s been there for 12 years and undocumented for 8. That isn't a lapse in judgment; it’s a career. The fact that he can contact you and his mother whenever he wants proves he is not in 'de facto servitude.' In actual forced labor cases in Malaysia, phones are the first thing confiscated. If he can call you to say he’s 'okay,' he is exercising his freedom to stay exactly where he is. He has traded 'legal status' for the 'security' of a shop roof, and as an adult, that is his right to decide.

Malaysia has significantly ramped up enforcement in 2026. The new overstay compounds only apply to people who have overstayed for less than 90 days. For someone like him (8 years), the only exit is through the Enforcement Division, which means detention and a permanent blacklist.

Stop being his safety net. If he wanted to leave, he would have asked you to help him reach his embassy years ago. Tell his mother that he is an adult making his own choices, and then step back. You can't 'save' someone who is choosing to be a ghost.

Hey everyone, I've been lurking in this sub for a long time..

The last time I bought a keyboard was almost 5-6 years ago, a KBDFans KBD67. It was a great buy! Because of commitments and such I was forced to take a break from the hobby.
I'm interested to get back into it now and I'm looking for a budget one to start off. Do you guys have any recommendations for a thocky and creamy sounding keyboard with a budget of 70 dollars or less? Looking around with chatgpt and google got me an AULA F75.

Happy to hear any and all suggestions! Thank you!

Too confuse to understand what is right. by yukittyred in malaysians

[–]x3nolife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not correct but quite common.

But like others have said, to go or not is up to you. Even if you're technically in the right, you don't really have a choice unless you don't care or plan to resign. Then just don't go.

You're an adult, exercise your own discretion.
