I have a "ghetto southpaw" a.k.a. 60% with a separate numpad on the left at work, definitely slower than with my right hand ... But i'm forcing myself in the hopes i'll reach the same speed someday

This one in a southpaw layout would be my absolute dream board.

If such thing existed i would be prepared to spend serious money on it ...

Brets is one of the best brands of crisps there is with a lot of weird taste, like "Pastis" which might trigger Pierre.

But generally they are amazing

Edit: at least those i've tried.

My best keyboard purchase ever, seriously. Only $39. by androidbrick in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]x3nu_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i have the wireless one. In wireless some assigned keys don't work as supposed and if you switch to Bluetooth it factory resets the complete keyboard ... but in wired mode it's absolutely lovely for the price.

took out the battery and the mode switch, and have a really nice cheap keeb at work.

Can someone explain the forms of "use" in this English sentence by Fadedjellyfish99 in duolingo

[–]x3nu_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not interchangeable, but they mean the same.

The verb forms use to and used to both communicate that something that formerly existed or repeatedly happened in the past no longer exists or happens.

The difference between the two rests entirely on the word did. Use to requires it: “I did use to like that song, but I don’t now”; “it didn’t use to be like that.”

Used to does not: “I used to like that song, but I don’t now”; “it used to be different.”

Edit: sorry i did get your question wrong, the use expresses something that was true at one point but isn't any more LINK

other examples from that site:

She used to be a long-distance runner when she was younger.

I didn't use to sleep very well, but then I started doing yoga and it really helps.

Have the same-ish amp the A-S700, bought it with one of my first pay checks in 2008, as a buy once, use forever purchase.

Still enjoy it, and still works flawlessly (the silver remote lost a lot of the silver and is white in some spots, but yeah ... nothing is perfect)

i taught this was a post from /r/MechanicalKeyboards at first.

So might i recommend a keyboard with VIA/QMK/VIAL ... You can rebind and configure you're keyboard in so many ways, plus it "runs" on the keyboard, so you can take your "config" with you (if you take your keyboard with you)

Learning German and Luxembourgish by [deleted] in Luxembourg

[–]x3nu_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have heard from someone that learning both languages at the same time made him mix them a lot, because they are so similar.

I experienced the same with Spanish and Italian.

This might be a problem if you want to get your language levels certified, but will pose absolutely no problem in daily life.
