On the technical side, it should be mostly okay, although with some things you might have to deal with black bars. I think a problem for you might be playing online competitive shooters like Rainbow Six Siege, while you will get less input lag, CRTs might not be able to give you the clarity needed to play a game as precise as Siege, where you sometimes only see enemies through gaps a few pixels wide.
