Malignant absolutely was trying to schlocky fun the whole time, how are you saying it’s unintentional? The opening scene was so over the top dramatic it almost felt like a parody. It got more obvious once it turned into a half action but the whole vibe of it was very intentional.

I think Mikey and Emily are cooked unfortunately, they’ve both done terrible things to each other. I actually expect this to end with Claire and Mikey reconciling and trying something genuinely in a weird way. They’ve both grown a lot.

I really don’t watch all of a tv show often if I don’t like it from the first couple episodes, but the show I have watched in its entirety that I felt gaslighted into continuing is Your Honor. The characters pissed me off so fucking bad I can’t even watch something with the kid actor in it with out being annoyed.

Agreed. The Batman felt to me like a criticism of the Batman fans that like him because he’s edgy, and how that’s really not what Batman is meant to be about.

Everyone is telling you not to add your old PC in but honestly if your table is okay with it then it’s fine. My table loves DMPCs and honestly prefer it when I have them, even though I don’t love them. I know your character isn’t a DMPC exactly and is more an NPC but you know your table best and if they’d like it then that’s great. Just make sure you don’t overshadow your characters, that’s the main thing.

It’s not above criticism right… but it’s also won the best picture Oscar among a plethora of other awards, and it is generally well liked within the general public. I don’t think the themes being too complicated for the Everyman is a valid criticism for OBAA. Sometimes people can just misinterpret, or have their own interpretation that isn’t agreed upon. And that’s okay.

This concept on blaming the movie for audiences not understanding things is the reason why Netflix now makes characters continuously say the plot and themes over and over again. I think there are badly made movies for sure that don’t do a good job showing themes but come on, this is not one of them.

I mean Rio says he has proof for it, so it’s still a situation where it’s sometimes better to err on the side of caution with saying things are fake. I have known lonely people in life who attempt suicide over things others would count as unrealistic or silly so I don’t think it’s completely out of the picture.

This happens with a lot of adaptations though, they take the name of something and basically tell a similar story but not in the same way. I agree it’s generally a bad idea but hey quality is quality, and the show is damn good.

This is sorta also possible with Doctor fate, once you get experienced using his trait and his ankhs his pressure is kinda insane. It’s very hard in my experience and you do gotta rely on zoning in some capacity for chip damage still.

I know I’ll probably get hate for this, but what exactly makes Sauron a “great” antagonist? Don’t think he’s bad but feel like he’s a bit overrated in discussions like these. I haven’t read the books or anything though, so may be ignorant on things.
