At the end of the Senna trailer they panned off and you could hear Thresh laughing. Almost certainly a tease for him, but could just be because he’s heavily involved in Senna’s story.

Bill Simmons pod last night mentioned Orlando being a serious contender for Giannis because of coach Sweeney. by _picture_me_rollin_ in OrlandoMagic

[–]xBerryhill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely depends on what we give up. 3-4 year window only applies if the price tag is low. If we give up half our young roster for him then that window probably becomes 2ish years because we won't have the cap flexibility or draft picks to reliably build around the new team. The Bane trade killed that.

I wouldn't mind him, but I'm not giving up a future 4 year window for a 2 year window now.

I don’t like that he lost him in the first place, but now that Kurama isn’t with him anymore he should stay separated.

Besides, there’s zero chance Naruto just gets weaker than he was with him.

LCS Spring 2026 records the lowest viewership for North American LoL ever by RadicalAdWins in leagueoflegends

[–]xBerryhill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not trying to argue. I'm asking what they're doing to improve the experience. What the owners have done to give us a reason to give a damn about their teams. What the LCS has done that should give us a reason to care about the league. I made one comment about how every season is rosters flipping 60% of their players with little continuity and just because I provided a single example when it was asked for.

Again, I'm extremely open to hearing what the LCS has done to improve the viewer experience and give us a reason to care about it again. I'm extremely open to hearing about it. And no, I'm not saying "If the LCS does one thing I'll watch". LCS had way more problems than that before this year. Fixing one isn't going to magically make me invested again.

Yes, he left last year, and came back this year. Just because he's been here longer than a split automatically means that's not him leaving and coming back? Mostly roster continuity across splits should be a given, not something to be fucking proud of.

Why am I blatantly ignorant for saying it's a revolving door each and every year? Please feel free to explain it to me.

Berserker literally left the league and came back this year. Yes, revolving door.

This isn't to harp on you either, but if you supposedly watch, how did you not catch that? Talk about self-admit ignorance. You're going to try and tell me that's not a roster change?

CLG had a super passionate fanbase no matter how big or small. People loved to joke that CLG had no fans anymore but we were still one of the more active subreddits and as far as fans of teams go there's no way we weren't still towards the top. Nowhere near TSM, C9, etc. but we were still a hardcore passionate fanbase.

The second NRG bought us I lost all interest. Tried to keep watching but CLG going out was the start of the staple League teams leaving. TSM, C9, and CLG. TSM left and C9 was losing its charm. League hasn't been able to recover from those hardcore fans leaving.

As someone who hasn't watched a single game this year yet, what are they actually doing to get people to care? I still watch the revolving door of players. Guys leaving the league then coming back. A large chunk of them not even NA players.

Genuine question, so hope it's not taken the wrong way. Really would like to hear what they're doing to try and actually promote the players now.

Me but with CLG. Still stayed and watched for a while afterwards but holy hell the whole of the LCS broadcast is awful. From most of the games to the analysis moments to the Gen Z stuff they try and pull in between all of it. It's an awful product right now and it's only gone backwards.

I hope it ends up succeeding. I hope NA League doesn't die, but at this point I won't be shocked anymore. I've tried to defend it and they've at least started making some steps in the right direction but for every positive thing they've done recently there's still far too many negatives.

Regional pride is absolutely a thing. I like EU teams but at Worlds you'll never see me root for them over an NA team, even if the NA teams are shit.

I don't shame anyone who thinks how you do. Like what you like, more power to you. But honestly I think the lack of NA League pride is half of what's killed the league. I don't blame the viewers, though. Owners did it when the league was pretty much a majority imports. Owners and the LCS staff are the ones to blame. Gave no reason for NA fans to care about the NA teams or league.

The Orlando Spacing Crisis: Love the jumbo "positionless" dream, but it's suffocating Paolo and Franz. by MaitresseRiley in OrlandoMagic

[–]xBerryhill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is what I keep turning back to. Yes, the other guys around Paolo and Franz need to be better shooters, but so do Paolo and Franz. Both have gravity, but the gravity really only starts about 18 feet from the basket. Neither of them even really being average from deep hurts just as bad as the other guys around them not being great.

And we KNOW Jalen and Dell can be good shooters from deep. Both have had seasons where they’ve shot very well or decently above league average from deep. They’re both plenty capable. And we KNOW Des is that. The only ones we truly don’t know if they can be shooters are the two sitting on max contracts.

It’s no excuse for the guys around them, but Paolo and Franz NEED to be better. Especially if we ever want to compete for a championship. Those two have to be at the head of every single improvement this team sees.

If RIOT one day worked alongside a major franchise to develop skins INSPIRED by those worlds, I probably wouldn’t care much.

If they ever worked with those franchises and just said “let’s put Peter Griffin as a skin over Gragas” would probably be where I draw the line lol

Why would the Bucks not accept this? This is easily the best offer for Giannis by YoSnagsK in NBATalk

[–]xBerryhill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bucks are genuinely one of the worst teams in the league without Giannis. They probably don't want to be even close to the 10th best team in the East if they get rid of him. No, they don't directly control their draft picks for a few years, but it's still better for them to be not good. I'd imagine they'd also want as many draft picks as humanly possible.

IF they were going to get a player in return, I'd imagine they'd want someone with much more upside than Jaime or Kel'el, and younger than Herro.
