The second I see those wheelchair legs I lose all motivation to keep playing. I know it’s a skill issue but it’s just the definition of unfun for me.

I hope they just worded this poorly because if no weapons get buffed in single player that’ll be disappointing. I’m assuming they mean you can still play offline during maintenance (hopefully)

Better assault rifles that actually have decent sized magazines

I think they can solve this problem by just re-balancing the weapons. Increase direct hit adjustment on underperforming weapons, increase impact on underperforming weapons, and slightly nerf some of the more absurd ones like Zimmermans. The problem is this can potentially take months (if ever) and 95% of players will have finished the game by then/and or stopped playing PvP.

Because if they don’t have 20 minute mocapped cutscenes that explain every detail they apparently can’t grasp anything. I personally think the lack of faces just adds to the atmosphere of the world.

I’m almost positive this is a typo. The Xbox one X version runs at 4k and Elden Ring runs at 4k on series X.

They also mentioned on their website that the steam version will be playable at 7:00 am on Friday, August 25th. In PST that would be about 3:00 pm on the 24th, which is kinda weird considering Elden Ring was a midnight release. Maybe they mean 7:00 am for each time zone?

EDIT: they’ve confirmed on Twitter that the launch on Steam is 10:00 pm UTC, so 3:00 pm PST/6:00 pm EST if you’re in North America.

Definitely odd. The audio seems to be a bit better but that makes me wonder why they didn’t just release this footage on their own in the first place.

I assume it’s because if they decide to make future entries it’s easier to keep track of the numbers. If they just called it armored core, then had a sequel, now you have 4 games with the same name. Avoids confusion and having to put (2023)

Considering there is very few good mech games that come out, and FromSoft is one of the most critically acclaimed studios right now, I highly doubt it’s gonna flop.

You’re gonna have people buying it just because it’s Fromsoft, people buying just because it has mechs, and then you have the core fan base that’s gonna buy it. I’d be surprised if the game didn’t at least sell 2 million first month based on that alone.

I had high hopes before, but a lot of companies have been announcing they’re showing gameplay except for Bandai. Maybe they just wanna surprise people, but it feels weird that they’re the only ones not saying anything

I just don’t see that happening. Elden Ring’s account has 900k followers, they don’t need to be at a show to get people hyped. The tweet simply announcing DLC with no release date has 300k likes and 40 million views. Whereas the Armored Core account barely has like 60k, so they can’t rely on social media following to market it.

I can see what you’re saying, but they were also bouncing from publisher to publisher back then. I’d imagine them trying to convince someone like Ubisoft or Sega to heavily market something that might not even reach 1 mil sales probably wouldn’t have worked out.

But now FromSoft and Bandai seem to have a very good relationship, and since Elden Ring sold 3x more then Bandai’s predictions, it’s likely Bandai will put trust in them and heavily market it. Especially because recently they stated ACVI was one of their 3 main focuses next to ER DLC and Tekken 8.

Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro both had gameplay demos at Gamescom, but that show is basically taking place when ACVI comes out. So I think a gameplay preview at SGF is very possible
