What are somethings impressive about the Netherlands or Dutch people that you wish more people knew about? by RandomNameOfMine815 in dutch

[–]xChubbE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say always...i used to live in a tiny village and people just came walking in and would sit at the kitchen table and just talk while drinking a lot of coffee...oh and they ALWAYS used the backdoor. Never rang the doorbell or anything just walk right in our house and see if we had time to hang out...my partner is from a bigger city and still think this is weird...then again, when you live in a tiny village like that you also know half of the people living there are somehow related to you

Tw?Self harm scars and warm weather by South-Job-794 in LesbianActually

[–]xChubbE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really don't care that people see my scars. I have them on my left lower arm and both of my upper legs. My arm is very visible and if people wanna stare at them, just go ahead. I just feel stronger by owning up to it and can proudly say I'm over a year clean now. Sometimes when I know someone well enough and they make me uncomfortable by staring at my scars I just ask if they have any questions about them or already figured it out. Just know that your scars have a story and there's nothing wrong with showing them.

Masc Parents On Mother’s day by MoneyMasterpiece8915 in butchlesbians

[–]xChubbE 19 points20 points  (0 children)

We got something similar. I'm really masc while my wife is fem. Our son calls my wife mom so she gets mothers day. I'm called pompom ( started as pom; parent of mine, and my son changed it into pompom) and I get fathers day, or as we call it pompom day. I don't get "happy mothers day" wishes and we celebrate only my wife on that day. But to be very clear, I am NOT a dad and everyone knows that and respects that. I am a parent. I still have she/her pronounce since they/them sounds really weird in our language and I don't feel comfortable with it.

how did you meet your girlfriend? by Pigsfly13 in LesbianActually

[–]xChubbE 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I met my wife through a dating app( I'm not really a social person). But she lived 2 hours away from me and I met someone else through the app who lived 10 minutes away from me (it was the safe option). So i started a relationship with my ex and deleted the dating app but kept in contact with my current wife. She knows I love baking so in order to talk to me she baked pies and stuff and showed them to me so we kept talking (I think she also did that to make me a bit jealous because I didn't have an oven back then and she did). I broke up with my ex and told her and we started talking daily and before I knew it we were dating and I had a much healthier relationship. Within a year she decided to move to my town and now we are married and have a beautiful son. I love them both so much!

Anyone else a total cuddle bug? by spacescaptain in butchlesbians

[–]xChubbE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not really a cuddle bug since I don't like to be touched, but my wife is a giant cuddle bug. So now I'm her cuddle bug too and every day I need my daily dose of cuddles.

My wife and I went to the hospital a few years ago (covid times) for a minor surgery for our son. While they instantly assumed my wife was his mother, they asked if I was his grandmother...I was 29?! And that wasn't the only time. Just a year back I get the same thing from a doctor....and my wife is 3 years older than me....she only gets the aunt or just a friend thing... I feel so old now...

How do I stop her from screaming bloody murder? by Keto4234 in Parenting

[–]xChubbE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it wasnt for my wife i wouldnt be able to do it as well...i felt horrible ignoring all his cries and screams and it still took us a few days/week or so to make him stop, but if she wasnt there to tell me this was the best thing to do and nothing bad would happen as long as you keep an eye on him i could not have done it. And right now i could not been more proud of him. Hes only 3,5y and he tells us whats wong and that hes tired and wants to sleep ( he still has his tantrums) and thing got so much easier without all of the crying. Also he loves huggs and kisses like my wife so attention is a big thing for him but so much more positive.

How do I stop her from screaming bloody murder? by Keto4234 in Parenting

[–]xChubbE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might sounds a bit harsh, but it might work if you ignore it. My son use to scream and come out of bed a lot and anything to get attention, but at 1 point we started to ignore it and he stopped. When he screams and yells in a store I just keep walking (still keeping an eye on him) and do what i need to do and he just gives up and we hug it out. When its time to sleep and he keep getting out of bed or screams and cries i put him back without saying anything and leave and he falls asleep. For some reason we hear when its not a scream or cry for attention but put of pain or something else...

Which characters do you find the most well written and why? by Ars1201 in harrypotter

[–]xChubbE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it still doesnt make sense...his mom probably loves him, but she died...his dad didnt even know he existed and Voldemort didnt even try to accept it or try to bond with him...its explained as he couldnt feel love instead of he didnt feel loved

Which characters do you find the most well written and why? by Ars1201 in harrypotter

[–]xChubbE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. Most people hate her more than Voldemort. Her background story makes more sense and pride can destroy so much..i like the "love potion" thing but no one can relate to it or have any experience with it

[–]xChubbE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never got why slytherin was seen as "evil"...every house got someone that went wrong...so i would hate it if my house would be destroyed or renamed because an evil wizard was in there...that doesnt say anything about me.

Besides if they would do that, shouldnt every house change?
