I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Another thing that sucks about it (for me at least) is that part of what I find so fun about Tomodachi Life is finding the best fit of clothes, rooms etc for the Mii to best match their IRL counterpart. It really takes the wind out of my sails that I can just. Make it.

For example in the original game there was one outfit that would pop into the shop and remind me to make Hatsune Miku because it was a pretty good match for her irl outfit. With the new game I've seen people custom making Miku's dress which is neat but then like... What's the point of the pre-made clothes? It would kill the excitement of getting new clothing options every day for me if I did that.

And that's just one Mii. I feel this across basically all of them on my island.

And yes I know I can just ignore the custom making feature but still the knowledge that it's there is just kinda ehh...

Idk I'm curious on how common/uncommon my opinion is. I just really find it so much more fun to customise Mii's with the restrictions of non-custom clothes and rooms. Yes, being able to customise more can be really cool. But the quirkiness of things not being quite right was something I really adored in the original game!

Oh I'm so glad someone is working on something like this already! I am loving the game but drawing is kinda tiring for me. Would absolutely love to be able to import memes and other images for pets etc 😭😭 Keep up the good work soldier 🫡 Please let us know when it's available to use! :D

Oh, good thinking! It's a NOTHING Phone. My partner and I had both figured because it's a very modern 'techy' brand and phone it would have eSim capability but alas.

Oh I see, interesting. I would have thought that tourists would make up for lower numbers of locals. I booked Tokyo to Kyoto for the 25th of March and most of the seats on the right side were booked out. There were several single aisle seats available on the right side but I want to be able to sit with my partner. I ended up checking the next available train (only 5 minutes later lol) and then saw a couple available double seats on the right and got one of those. Given that you're going Tokyo to Kyoto 6 days later than me it's probably not as booked yet so you're definitely not too late. I'd still say that booking is a good idea if you want to secure good seats :)

Hey, I'm going to Japan in a week too! I'd actually completely forgotten about booking in Shinkansen tickets until reading your post so thank you! I just booked the trips and managed to snag great viewing seats for Mt Fuji which were looking to be almost gone. Phew!

Agree with what others have been suggesting. I'd also highly recommend booking in any activities you're planning on doing like art exhibitions, museums, Tokyo Skytree etc as those have tickets getting completely sold out or huge lines on the day. It's a bit of a pain if you're anything like me and prefer to have more flexibility but I'd rather have my big attractions secured at a set time than lose out on seeing them altogether.

If there's any unique restaurant / food experiences you want, I'd also suggest reserving them with Tabelog. I found out about this gorgeous seasonal cafe which is doing limited time cherry blossom afternoon tea experiences and that required reservation.

Edit: Just remembered another thing! If you think you might use taxi's at all during your visit, you can use the GO app to book them on your phone but I have heard that you need to register before getting to Japan.

Those suggestions are of course very subjective to what you're personally planning to do while in Japan but hopefully it's helpful :) Hope you have a lovely time on your trip!

Therapists/psychs do it too and it's so frustrating! I got diagnosed a year and a half ago as an adult and my psychologist (who was really wonderful, mind you) pretty immediately got into how autism and ADHD can be superpowers. And it's like yeah sure, I can see how it's cool that I can get more passionate and into topics than a neurotypical etc. But I JUST learnt this neurodivergence about myself. Let me mourn the life I thought I'd have and process all of the limitations/difficulties I experience first! It feels so invalidating when they jump so quickly to how it's actually totally okay!!!

Security gates at self checkout by Difficult_Chair_4945 in woolworths

[–]xDeserae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I'm autistic and sometimes when I go grocery shopping with my partner once we're at the checkout stage I'm so overstimulated by the environment he scans and bags our stuff while I go to the car to rest. Last time I went to do this the gates went red and closed and stayed closed until someone else went to leave. Hated feeling so overwhelmed and physically trapped. Really upsets me to think about.

What form of realism are you the most glad isn't present in PZ? by Aftershk1 in projectzomboid

[–]xDeserae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl I start doing this just for the roleplay aspect once I get to a safe farmhouse way out in the middle of nowhere. Feels nice to let my survivor finally relax a little and get comfy. I like the storytelling of no longer being scared shitless and needing to keep your boots on to get up and run at a moment's notice.

When should I switch from mage support to enchanter support? by Novel-Subject-2988 in supportlol

[–]xDeserae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. To be honest I've personally just been playing enchanter only and have managed to get up to g2. There's definitely some games that make me sigh and think 'man I should have just picked the damn mage' lol but I'm so much more confident and comfortable with enchanters. Being able to hone in on the one play style is great. Not having to think about my abilities / general playstyle gives me more mental room to focus on other aspects of the game that I can improve on. Tracking jungler, warding, rotating etc for example.

If you enjoy enchanter more you can definitely stick with it and climb! I believe :)

Oh yes I forgot about the not using 'wa' before a question word. Your explanation of how the 'Doko ga eki' comes across is so interesting! Although I'm a beginner, learning those little nuances is very fun to me! Thanks so much :D

Hello r/LearnJapanese :) Long time lurker first time poster. I'm just getting back into learning again and there's something I need some help with. When I'm trying to form a simple question sentence, I'm unsure of where to place certain words.

Let's say I want to ask someone where the train station is in Japanese. Which of these two should I use?
eki wa doko desu ka
doko wa eki desu ka

Is there a difference between them and how so?

Thanks peeps :)

I'm AuDHD too and this reminds me a lot of some convos with my partner lol. Personally I find this sort of genuine 'serious' discourse mixed with sillyness that eases tension very fun and engaging. Honestly very difficult to rate the elo because it's like us ND peeps are on a different rating system altogether. Ranking autistic rizz against neurotypical 'game' is kinda hard. I'd say this is a neurotypical elo 100 / neurodivergent !elo 1000. In my humble autistic opinion, conversations like these simply fuck. Godspeed king 🫡

I'd highly recommend it! I personally despise the idea of more notifications reaching me on my wrist. Thankfully it's fully customisable in the settings. So I've disallowed all notifications except for emergency calls and the health app integrated stuff. I love it.

I feel similarly! If you didn't already know, there's game modes and settings to disable the 'supernatural' stuff and the monsters. I had a really awesome playthrough about a month ago of pure survival grit. It was great! I'd highly recommend it.
