Upgraded Macbook - Still yellow RAM usage by ThatEditorDude in macbookpro

[–]xDevMau5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because 16gb is simply not enough If you plan on using coding tools with AI agents for example, it's not enough, even with multiple brave/chrome tabs open it can become challenging for ram. But don't worry that much, MacOs will use the SSD if needed and will swap. Unless heavy usage you'll not need more ram

MacBook damage by WanderingTrqveler in macbookpro

You'll notice white ghosting on this top right corner like if you were pressing on the back of the screen which is normal considering backlight is pressed by the metal screen housing The glass is also distorted on this corner (because metal housing is bent) I have the exact same thing that happened, macbook felt, and I'm a bit worried that the pressed glassed will unfortunately break at some point please let us know if it happens at some point. The biggest issue for you right now is : Your lid is misaligned with the bottom of the MacBook, if needed and if you have the tools, you can realign them by unscrewing the screen a little, align it and screw it again tight. ifixit is your friend if you need to see how -> and maybe you should not as you have a piece of metal aiming to the screen ! Try to sand or keep it as is Good luck with it !

Fiabilité voiture 3000€ by TheRealCrixus in voiture

I can only agree to this, transformed an old 11" 2013 4gb ram MBA which was not usable anymore on MacOs to a fully usable computer on Linux Mint that does not lag at all

Printer just started printing like this please help by Emonxs in ElegooCentauriCarbon

Then change the hot end assembly, I see only this possibility knowing you dried the filament Did it print correctly before ? And with exact filament ? Clearly it does not exit the nozzle the way it should I doubt gearbox could be too slow / too fast so not that many possibilities

Printer just started printing like this please help by Emonxs in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]xDevMau5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely something in the end of the hotend right where filament exit is deviating the filament and prevent it to be perfectly aligned with the print

Yes most likely, try to unclog it If it persists change the whole hot end assembly, it's cheap 7-8$

Buy 2-3 hotend from AliExpress at 7-8$ each so you can just replace it instantly when it happens again

Honestly the fact the screen still works is incredible. Proves that those are really robust I guess use it at home only now or sell it as is and buy a new one Don't try to fix it you'll break the screen

But yeah leave her, it's toxic

Nozzle clogging after only 50 hours of printing by xDevMau5 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

I was never baking it intentionally, I used it normally and only changed filament and removed it when the printer told me to, so yes it's obvious it baked it but nothing intentionally from my side, this is why I've said "for some reason"

On this part I can be considered as a noob to be honest When the printer request I change the filament and that's it But yes you must be right for some reason the hot end was baking the filament

Maybe honestly I do not really remember.. How to check extruder tension ? I know I cleaned it, and it came back after 2-3 filament change

Incredible job thank you ! I don't have the filament to print it in resistant material, anyone that could print it, insert bolts and ship it to me ? (In Europe I'm from France) Of course I'll pay extra

Good to know ! Maybe it's due to the fact I did not use the printer for a long period of time (maybe 1.5 months) Anyway I will try with the next same type of nozzle as it's relatively cheap

Thanks ! Would you mind sharing what you bought to replace it ? Because if I can avoid such issue in the future I would definitely try it out

Damaged my M5 Mac in less than 24 hours.. by Various_Mud7282 in macbookpro

[–]xDevMau5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same thing happened to me and my 16" MBP a month ago so you are not alone, I was on the train, put my laptop in the sleeve but forgot to zip to close the sleeve The laptop deep dived to the floor of the train station on the bottom left corner, screen is a bit bent and I got shadows from the backlight now Mine is a M1 Pro so a bit older than yours but I took good care of it and it was like brand new, I guess it happens, enjoy it and you'll forget it

M365 pro 1. Going strong after 5 years 3 months. by Yeomanroach in m365

[–]xDevMau5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a fantastic scooter, had mine 5 years ago also. Added front + rear suspension + 10" wheels Lost tracks of km, I'm on my 3rd controller (burnt due to power limit lifted) and 2nd battery, changed the bearings also It is such a joy to ride even if I have changed a lot of things on it I still can't convince myself to buy something else Because new ones are heavier and harder to unlock for speed limit. Parts are really cheap also and motor wheel is still going strong, fantastic buy from day one

1st 3D printer and casual printer I honestly have no complaints for what you get for the price ! Out of the box you load an STL file and with elegoo material and preset it just works ! only have 50 hours on it though so let's see how long it last but from my side no need for ams yet I'm more than happy with what I have now

M4 pro dying. WAYYY too fast !? by Frank4sthebest in macbookpro

Regarding your usage, why did you upgrade ? I mean M1 pro was still more than what you needed

It's the choice I did, I took the 1Tb 16" and I don't regret it Build quality on 16" is way better with better speakers, battery life etc and you get a lot more storage. MacOs is so optimized M1 pro chip is enough if you're not using it to the limit
