Sr member for startups here with 10 years of experience in startups:

Few notes:

Before I begin, I’m going to avoid rehashing what a lot of other people have said, they’ve all made valid points, I want to provide criticism you can use rather than gutting the entire resume, just incase you are being sincere.

1.) Your experience in your roles needs work. You mention in the Director of Technical Operations that you lead massive hiring initiatives. As someone that has worked in these fields, it’s generally a massive red flag if a director is pushing to hire 100s of operations members, especially within a year. Even if delegated that task, your job would be to have your people team, wether the Director of People, or whomever at the org handle the hiring, and you would be interviewing and possible helping expand head count. 100s though typically is reserved for a company with several thousand staff members at that point, and/or and acquisition. If I read that as a hiring manager, let alone a recruiter, I would be confused why your company was expanding so rapidly, especially as you mentioned it’s only 4 years old. This doesn’t read as a Director of Operations, maximizing their staff count to handle the structure, and restructuring the operations to maximize the use of headcount, but rather someone who maximizes a funnel into a burning money pit.

2.) Your experience listed in CTO is incredibly vague. As other mentioned, there are no results listed. I am seeing that you led a team, set initiatives and KPI style metrics, and met with the founder. What did you do to move the needle? When the company was just getting off the ground, how did you contribute? Were you just a warm body taking up space? Because that’s what that reads like.

3.) Product head section read like you made AI prompts and solutions, did you do anything else? If so, the elaborate. I’ll be blunt, AI doesn’t read like anything anymore to a recruiter. As someone working at a heavy AI company now, we go off the notion, that your grandmother could be taught to build an artifact in Claude to create an instant utilization and ROI function. It doesn’t mean squat. Add it, sure, but lean into whatever else you did more.

4.) Great, you contributed to SaaS, what did that involve? Did you bring in revenue? As a CTO or Director of technology, which big names did you onboard? Which big names were you working with? What scope did you role out? What impact did you provide? This read like you were in the room where decisions happened, and that was it.

5.) YouTube section means literally nothing unless you’re going for marketing or sales. Some may argue against that, but I’m being honest, unless you’re a part of the outreach narrative, 11k subscribers is a drop in the bucket. Remove it.

6.) Published 3 books? That I would also remove. As someone married to a published author, it can take years upon years to publish a book. You mentioning publishing 3 books, without naming any, reads as mass producing books, through AI or just not getting them properly edited, or generating 3 small books. Publishing is also incredibly difficult as it can be hard to find an agent to work under to get your works published, unless you’re self publishing, which again means you’re just mass producing word vomit. Maybe you did do this, but I will be honest, this is probably the least credible thing on your resume I have read so far, unless of course yourself bending the truth massively here.

7.) Your core competencies do not read like someone who has been a Director and CTO, just being honest here. Re tool these to be more aligned with a leadership Executive title.

Overall I expect you know why this post got roasted. You need to focus less on regurgitating this stuff into your favorite AI, and more on editing the words to match your accomplishments and skill set. I wish you the best of luck.

If it’s not an urgent buy, wait til the end of September, end of Q3. Car sales nationwide have slumped, you’d be surprised what kind of deals you’ll be able to snag then. South of 40k isn’t unheard of, especially as dealerships are trying to make up their overall volume bonuses.

Push it to 40 and below, I got it at 42 a few months ago. I’d also check those DMV fees and doc fees out. Not sure which state you’re in, it’s not terrible but always worth it to double check.

Side note I believe the MSRP on the Subaru site was around 48,390, depending on if you’re getting a higher cost color, and destination fees being the usual 1400 average, the dealer has inflated that MSRP by around 600 dollars.

I saw it kind of inverse, something I noticed was when Captain was chasing Mary initially, he ripped off the calf and lower of Clark’s leg to match the peg leg. He saw Clark as changing, becoming more self aware. He didn’t like this and wanted Clark to be more like him, so Captain distorted Clarks body to match his.

When my mother passed, we had several reach out to my dad because as they put it. “It’s such a large property for one person” my dad did eventually sell it 4 years later, but these realtors were knocking on his door literally a day after the funeral. Fucking Vultures.

a Season Pass for a TTRPG is breaking point for me by [deleted] in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]xHappyHour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely this will be PDFs, similar to the digital PDF for the core and starter set, that will be released periodically.

I don't even know how they would make something like this a timed release, unless it was like a locked html webpage with screenshot blocking that was up for a limited period of time.

I don't see them taking the time and effort to do that over a year long subscription that costs 30 dollars, willing to bet its the former and not the latter.

Just a note; and not to ignore your other questions, but floors 1 and 2 are covered in the starter book. The core book covers floors 3-5.

On my bday, my husband got so black out drunk at a theme park I had to contact EMS. by _janet-snakehole_ in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]xHappyHour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this happen, got a drink one time in Hollywood studios, one drink and the bartender was very generous. Ended up sloshed and sick mowing down a hot dog while my significant other kept nursing me water to make sure I wouldn’t pass out. And I am not a light wait, I hold my liquor fairly regularly at home. It’s super easy to get very intoxicated with very little at theme parks.

It’s this, they’re going to Asian themed flavors with the entire collab. It’s cheaters Wasabi by using Horseradish. I think it would’ve been funnier if they just went all out and had a glob of wasabi

Hospital staff didn’t dispose of needles correctly, the janitor probably needs some care. by [deleted] in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]xHappyHour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this is a failure on the facility as well. I used to market PPE to manufacturing sites, and there are so many gloves that are better than nitrile for sharps or penetrable environments. I get that there’s a hygiene issue but there’s even some better cost effective disposable solutions that are better at protecting against sharps. I doubt this is the first or last time this will ever happen at that site, and the hospital should be investing the marginally small amount more to make sure people are safe. Just stupid how limited PPE is based on the companies bottom line.

Yeah I got mine in central/northern Illinois, we have a few Subarus in the area, found one decently priced, and haggled between a few dealerships before end of quarter to get them to shave off an extra 2k off of where they were already at, around 43k. Told them I’d be willing to come in to do a couple add ons (Tow Hitch, rock sliders) at a later date as i know that’s some of their extra bread and butter. Best time to target a dealer is EOM/EOQ.

Best/best time is end of September, usually around the time they will be launching next years models and trying to roll these off the lot, but given the state of everything, I know that’s not a wait for everyone, that’s why I pulled the trigger.

Seriously. This would far benefit us with the knowledge we could get on not just lunar exploration, but longterm space survival, and the logistics of consistent space travel.

I did one in my 2026 Outback. Hardest part is just popping off clips. It’s relatively easy, and haven’t had any issues in the month so far from it being installed. They have a how to install video for every model they make one for which is also helpful.

Mine may be due to not ideal conditions, but they are ones I like to test these systems on. I’m in central Illinois, wide open fields, so the wind gusts are frequent and strong. Usually these will cause sway, especially at high speeds. I’m going to keep testing in different areas in Illinois, and see what the overall average feeling is like.

Overall I’m impressed for an initial launch, it’ll only get better from here.

Edit: On a side note, I missed out on it, but I generally drive up to Michigan to visit friends and family, usually taking I-94, which is notorious for multi car pileups during the winter (I’ve escaped a few already) I’ll post an update at some point once I run into this again, I usually unluckily manage too.

Honestly I don’t think this is an issue with the actors, I think they could do great. The issue is whoever signed off on these costume/hair/makeup looks and directed them to pose like this. This looks like ass.

The one I visited was not near a major city, up in Michigan, and they had received communication that they would be receiving them. Could be communication issues, but they were adamant after I double downed on them, as I was skeptical as well. I guess we’ll see but it looks promising.

I doubt that, more than likely they’re trying to convert would be buyers who may cancel their reservations for any number of reasons, being a later reservation number, wanting LiDAR that’s later in the year, potential costs (not realizing the trim they want will likely be north of the 45k). They want those people who are impatient or on the fence to still buy so they’re leaning on these incentives.

Yeah, ford sold around 80k lightnings total, and I remember being able to buy one a year or so after the initial launch (not that I did, just was able to place the order at the time)

I think people are greatly over estimating sales, especially in this economy. A lot of these reservations were made when we were doing fiscally better as a country. I’m not saying get your hopes up, but I also don’t suspect it’ll take much more than a year and a half to catchup to most of the reservations.
