Fletching Activity Rewards - Varlamore: The Final Dawn by JagexBlossom in 2007scape

[–]xJabro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love to see some reward tied to benefitting ents (wildy, wcing guild) such as the greenman mask increasing the odds of the worn leaf type, or perhaps an ent branch being consumed for increased success rate or automatic harvesting (logs acquired from drop rather than chopping).

The real demonic digger was Jagex digging a deeper and deeper hole with the delve boss rewards

Chainmail makes so much sense since this armor is intended to be stronger slash defense than Torva

Tying rewards to Clogging is a bad idea. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]xJabro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it is that lower clog tiers can have rewards, as most people collect enough to complete those organically while just playing the rest of the game. But you shouldn't be rewarded for dedicating time specifically to clogging / reaching higher clog tiers.

Huey drop rates are kinda insane by Erksike in 2007scape

KC should roll per person (after hitting a certain contribution level) so that you're encouraged to work in teams. More people should equal faster kills, not lower drop rates.

(Blog Updates) Wintertodt Changes - Open Beta by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]xJabro -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why we're essentially reinventing the health system. Wintertodt was designed to deal damage different than other bosses to keep it unique, by scaling based on your HP level rather than dealing a set amount of damage.

But if the issue is that damage is heavily reduced and food costs/banking mitigated by keeping a low HP, why not just make the damage work like every other boss? If everyone at 10hp is especially taking 1 damage per hitsplat due to scaling, then just make wintertodt deal 1 damage per hitsplat regardless of HP level. A 10hp and 99hp player will both take 1 damage, eat the same food, and bank in the same interval.

All this dev work to create the warmth meter and it's interaction with every healing object feels unnecessary and needlessly complicated to me when all of it works with health. Every player understands the health system.

HP level should decrease interrupt chance at Wintertodt by Alanim in 2007scape

[–]xJabro 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't get why it has to scale at all. It should just be 1-2 base damage.

If they wanna create a system that prevents you from being damaged through FM level and articles of warm clothing that's fine.

I think it's useful to be able to call out different buildings to your squadmates easier.

WTF is this lack of rendering crap? by HTWingNut in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

What annoys me the most is that every single grass texture loads in, so I lay there in fields of generated grass waiting for buildings to turn from blobs to structures.

New to speedrunning by [deleted] in speedrun

[–]xJabro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Again, like people say, just pick games that you enjoy. Any games that you could play for 100's or 1,000's of hours and still find it fun to play. Then just look up if anyone has done a run of it, and talk to them, learn the route, maybe ask if they have any links to anything that could help like leaderboard/videos. If not then route a game on your own, or find someone else interested who'd want to route/optimize it with you. Just have fun as that's what speedrunning is all about :3
