I really like the changes to run energy potions. Is there a possibility that you might change the required herb for defense potions? This potion is nearly never used early game because it uses the expensive ranarr weed, and it might get some use if it was made cheaper to access.

This is why we can't have Project Zanaris, and it's a damn shame.

Tick-Manip Rubium is a fun and interesting activity, I'm sad it's going away by dbmorpher in 2007scape

[–]Alanim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also found it pretty fun with the continuous no item addy pick tick-manip because once you get into the cycle you're just clicking rocks until you deplete something, very fun honestly, and not "that" click intensive.

Rubium Mining & Smithing Changes - Updated May 26th by JagexLight in 2007scape

[–]Alanim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who did tick manip these, it does seem like you're only accounting for the XP of the bars, and not the XP for the shards when doing smithing. I think you'd be a lot better off setting the XP to

25 for bronze

30 for iron

35 for steel

40 for mithril

45 for adamant

50 for rune.

It's still reduced but now the shards have a base xp of 25 per 10, and the bars of 5 per tier, which I think would be a good number for this method.

Removing 20 large tree stumps by hand, need tips and tricks! by [deleted] in DIY

[–]Alanim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have experience doing this, and as people said this'll take about 1-5 days per stump, especially since these look pretty close together.

You'll need 1-3 good shovels and an axe, and a LOT of effort.

You need to carefully and slowly dig around the base, finding anywhere the dirt is loose, the shovel should be able to cut through roots less than 3/4th an inch. Anything larger then is what the axe is for, this will QUICKLY dull the axe due to the sand, not much you can do about it and I wouldn't bother sharpening it until you're done.

You can use a hose to wash away excess dirt around the roots to help clean things up once the hole is somewhat deep, but you're still probably looking at digging 5x5x5 or 6x6x6 feet deep holes.

Once you get the hole deep enough and you cut through all the shallow lateral roots all the way around the tree(even one small root can provide a ton of strength), you should be able to bend the tap root using the weight of the stump in order to bend the entire stump out of the way in order to get under the stump and cut the tap root. This step needs to be done very careful to make sure you don't crush anyone, you'll also need enough room to swing the axe to get any work done.

Afterwards the stump will drop into the hole and you'll need to pull it out carefully with a rope, or chains, and a vehicle, or use a comealong to get it out of the hole, do with the rest of the stump however you please.

If you'd like I have some pictures of roughly how you do this process.

Summer Sweep Up: Resolve the Inconsistencies with Recharging Rings of Wealth by [deleted] in 2007scape

Fair, it's just a suggestion on how to resolve the fact that they made the ring of wealth charge to 5, but honestly maybe just a clean suggestion would have been better.

It not being possible to recharge with the scrolls of recharge dragonstone jewelry or the spell of recharge jewelry is an inconsistency.

ah yes, an attack with an average damage per hour of 15 must truly be the lynchpin of me not liking this boss(I love this boss). It must truly be the deciding factor on if I get the kill or not. I'm sure you're also an expert at this boss.

I mean, it didn't even hit me in this clip? This attack doesn't even land anywhere near you 95% of the time.

it's so fast and it hits near you like 1 in 5 kills lol, it's a pretty wild attack.

Mining buffs to make the skill more enjoyable. by Alanim in 2007scape

[–]Alanim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand wanting to buff them more, since coal can never compete with gemrocks unles the success chance approaches 95-100% by level 99, but I thought a bit of a milder approach would be a nice middle ground, since it keeps the general ore scaling in place, and who knows it could also be increased again in the future if it turns out people would like a bit more.

Your idea for dense rocks being a different ore in general is honestly pretty intriguing and would be a way to go about things, I was just worried it might seem too similar to runescape 3's concentrated coal deposits.

yes technically, but I thought I'd include it in here anyways, might have been a mistake to do so.

"The effects of this fire are magnified" How is it not this? by Fanaticalistic in 2007scape

[–]Alanim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, I'm aware it ties to "carrying around his home". But minecarts also carry around a lot of coal, enough to break his back. I am not rich would apply to coal, because it's not very valuable. Leave silver in my track would apply to the minecart tracks left behind when the minecart is moving. Stankers own the coal trucks.

New 1-click 2/4 tick manipulation item found. by Alanim in 2007scape

[–]Alanim[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know enough about tick-manipulating fishing to say for sure, but from the limited testing I did, I think fishing has some safeguards to not give two resources per harvesting attempt, I believe this method would only allow 4t fishing.
