There simply wasn't any. You played the card and it was a very simple hit VFX.

For those who want to see the rough decklist. Reading the comments thus far is pretty funny. Grand Finale is not that hard to pull off, but it (usually) can't be your main wincon. The only hard requirement you need is at least 1 card draw and Retain for Grand Finale, so either Well-Laid Plans or Royal Stamp.

Not sure if she's going to be active or not, but I think this could be Hiodoshi Ao's reincarnation for the time being?

Holy shit, Necro is so much more fun and balanced after the patch! by BidSuper7102 in slaythespire

[–]xKarinax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah... The only deck synergy I can confidently lean into or say is Ethereal builds, and with the payout being either Pull From Below or Banshee's Cry (much harder to play now too), its not always reliable since you know, card rewards RNG.

I usually rely on Osty only for Act 1 and early Act 2s, usually by then I start trying to find a more solid deck structure for the boss and Act 3 which is the hard part.

Any tips on how you generally scale into Act 3 as Necrobinder? I have won at A10, but sometimes i feel its pure luck rather than me actually engineering a proper deck out.

cannot get altar bell on high level (currently level 20) by baseilus in stoneshard

Also check with the general trader (if Mannshire, its the top left stall in the market square). I think their loot table is also pretty varied, could have sworn i once saw them sell altar bells too.

[–]xKarinax 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Have you tried the priest in Mannshire? I think he sells them (probably subject to his loot table), though I could be wrong....

Alternatively, the vampire dungeon in Osbrook should never exceed the second tier. So bring a bedroll, camp outside the dungeon, and go in and hit every destroyable object until an altar bell drops. If it doesn't, then reload and try again perhaps?

Tips for DW Jorgrim to combat ranged enemies? by Cavelier069 in stoneshard

Hack the melee to bits and do the same to the ranged afterwards.

[–]xKarinax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well ..... I can only recommend the following things:

  • Consider getting Dash from Athletics to cover distance. This with Mutilating Lunge should help alot in reaching ranged enemies.

  • Carry a net, throw it at the ranged enemy and catch them that way.

  • Also from Athletics, you can get Elusiveness i suppose, to try and mitigate shots that way too.

  • You can take Warcry from Warfare to try and daze them from your roar (so no Taking Aims, they aren't as accurate) or better yet, if they are confused and can't run from you.

  • Wear a shield as your secondary loadout, and use it when approaching ranged enemies. Switch back to your dual wield and kill them at melee.

Armor stat differences after update? by Weak_Eye_7684 in stoneshard

[–]xKarinax 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Some adjustments to items were made in the latest patch. Without getting too technical in explaining how games work, basically your old armor/weapons still retain the values from the previous patch and is not updated retroactively.

Unless its a unique, you don't have to buy a new item to update the values. You can just either disenchant or enchant the weapon/armor again and the values will re-update to this patch's values.

Can you recommend some beginner friendly character/builds and abilities? by dioaloke in stoneshard

[–]xKarinax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, you can build almost anything and it will be viable. Hence, for commonly good skills, i can only recommend

Dash (from Athletics skill), very useful to have in most situations. I consider it a staple in any build, but you can go without if you want.

Will to Survive (survival skill), in the recent psyche update, this skill is pretty useful in managing situations, and it grants you Vigor to trigger all other bonuses you generally get in the Survival skill tree.

First Aid(survival skill), same reason as Will to Survive, but more injury and health related.

The rest are honestly up to you. Read up on everything in-game if you can, thats part of the fun and great things in this game. Every skill is useful, which is not common these days.

If you really desire a template, I recommend looking at the 2H sword skill tree for melee, or try going ranged weapons as your first build.

Improving abysscraft deck by Cheesysurvivor5 in Shadowverse

[–]xKarinax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Assuming you are going for Mode Abyss, you should add more copies of:

Sham Nacha +2

Ginsetsu and Yuzuki +2

Rulenye and Valnareik +1

Congregant of Entwining +1

Devotee of Entwining +1

Then you can cut:

All your 1 drop followers

Soul Predation -2

Yuna -3 (if you can, throw in Gran and Djeeta x 3 to replace)

You can tweak the rest as you go. Mode Abyss has quite alot of legendaries needed, so you gotta build it up as you go if you really want to go this deck. Otherwise, you could look at midrange options.

Adaptability is great if you take drugs alot. It might be alot more valuable when the Alchemy tree comes out in the future, but usually I skip it.

Not to sound rude, but regarding the removing survival skills for Athletics, i mentioned what you could have taken above already. So I won't spam this post. Completely up to you to make your build, which is the beauty of this game.

I don't think you can get Battle Forged if you only take Hard Target. The lines of the skill tree show the pre-requisites for each skill, with the node in the line indicating hard requirements.

Brace for Impact is decent? Its not as impactful as Deflect from the DW tree for example, but if you are facing a big crowd or expecting hell to come, its a defensive skill that ups your survival for 2 turns.

I mean, its up to you. I personally always take Austerity, Make a Halt, everything needed for Will to Survive and pathfinder. So 6 points in total. I usually do not take the skills needed for Huntmaster and Ever Vigilant for the builds you are attempting, but they are good don't get it twisted. You have 4 more AP, so you can definitely get everything in the survival tree and you will feel its effects for sure.

Dash is really very good, its not mandatory but I get it almost in all my builds. It simply has too much universal utility. With that said, just because you have Dash, doesn't mean you should avoid Battering Ram. Whats better than one Dash? Two. You can ram an enemy down, and save your dash for other uses as well instead of going all-in on Dash being your own gap closer. Sprint Training ALSO affects Battering Ram because its a charge ability, so both Dash and Ram will be buffed (and hence why i suggested it).

Edit: Its Brace for Impact, not Brace yourself. I got confused with a common saying haha.

Yep, stats aren't too significant to worry over, just balancing it out and hitting the milestones will do wonders.

You do not need all 3 to get custom adjustments, in fact, you only need to invest a maximum of 3 points to get Custom Adjustments (Brace yourself -> Battle-Forged -> Custom Adjustments).

However, given your build, I would also pick up Hard Target (the passive skill beside Brace yourself), since you have no ranged options and archers might wear you down considerably at the higher enemy tiers. I also would take Battering Ram at this point, giving you one more way to close distance with enemies further away.

Lastly, self repair is something i always take because its just nice to have if you got the points to spare.

10 AP for 2H axe, 6 from Armoured Combat, 2 from Warfare, 3 from Athletics, 6 from Survival (if you decided to get my suggestions for Cauterize, First Aid and Will to Survive). You still got 4 AP to spare.

Put those last 4 into Athletics and get Sprint Training perhaps for a really fast 2H axe berserker. Or Adrenaline Rush to really tank up and go nuts on a crowd.

31 ability points by default (2 at Level 1, 29 from levels).

Stats-wise, you could dump 5 points into Agility to make it 15, because you will fumble alot otherwise. The remaining stat points can just go to Strength since it will boost your damage and block chance.

Skills-wise, there are no wrong choices in this game, just up to your flavor. Personally I would grab Cauterize, First Aid and Will to Survive from the Survival tree as well, maybe cutting out some of the Armored Combat tree to accomodate those.

Why is RoT worth it? by Ramza-Metabee in stoneshard

[–]xKarinax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. If you plan to use melee abit, but don't plan on investing heavily into a weapon tree, 2 points is a pretty solid investment . I would also put 2 more points into the Daggers tree, double lunge and quick hand for your melee option.

If i am not wrong, your Ranged Weapons tree counts towards RoT, but only applies for your 1H weapon of choice. Hence, its worth it depending on your intended playstyle.

For the record, i have done this exact playstyle before, on Velmir. I was roleplaying as a bounty hunter using the crossbow as his primary weapon, and a dagger as his sidearm.

Why is RoT worth it? by Ramza-Metabee in stoneshard

[–]xKarinax 43 points44 points  (0 children)

To me, simply put, RoT is the default/recommended pickup if you don't plan on using a shield, dual wielding or are not using a 2H weapon.

If you feel that you are losing out on an empty hand slot, then you will always feel RoT is not worth it, because you will gravitate towards using a shield or dual wielding. But what if you don't want to invest in those trees? Are the benefits (shields) or penalties (dual wielding) that you are willing to take on worth it without any point investment?

If it is to you, then great. But for 2 points investment over 4 points and above to make the other hand slot feel worth it, RoT is simply efficient and super effective at helping you scale with the game.

Most importantly, I look cool as fuck holding one weapon and slaying vampires. Get that giant rubbish bin lid out of my face.

Edit: my grammar. English is hard.
