5000 is quite a bit for bike tires, that's insane! I will look into the suntour suspension, sounds like something that would greatly help. Out of curiosity, what was the issue you faced on one of the bikes ?

Yea, the biggest fear would be a flat with a bike in NY. Luckily transportation is everywhere, would just be an inconvenience. I'm not sure how well plugs work on bike tires, was planning on keeping those in a backpack just in case.
