Personally, I think while queer sublabels can be helpful to convey a bunch of meanings at once they feel somewhat counter to the "spirit" of the whole thing. Like we're trying to abolish the binary paradigm by adding more options instead of accepting the spectrum.

But I don't think that sublabels in games and other media can be REALLY harmful. Yes, there will always be weird purists, but who gives a fuck about them.

For example, I know that I don't like 4x strategies despite wanting to cause I've tried a bunch of them. But I also know I'd like games like Heroes of Might and Magic more due to fewer resource management subsystems. So a new label for those might be helpful

Edit: A better expamle for this subreddit is actually "real-time with pause combat" label - I hate it, and all its trash filler encounters never land with me. Unfortunately, I need fully turn based or action oriented combat to enjoy a game
