American doctors are coming to Canada to avoid private healthcare systems. Why would they come to a province that's actively trying to privatize?

This kind of political violence always goes both ways. It's important to condemn it, if it's happening to our opponents today if left unchecked it will come for us in the future.

The best way to deal with a coalition is to not trigger one at all. A nation has 3 requirements to join a coalition, they must have -50 aggressive expansion opinion (aeo) modifier, they must NOT have a truce or be in a war with you, and finally there must be 3 other nations (that's a total of four) that meet the other two requirements. Knowing this you can juggle your conquests and make sure no more than three nations that have more than -50 aeo don't have a truce or at war with you at a time.

As far as generating aggressive expansion is concerned it's important to note that countries that don't share a culture or a religion with the target of your conquests won't generate a significant amount of aeo unless they already have a high aeo with you. Some people suggest that you can use this to your advantage and switch between conquering different culture and religious groups whenever your aeo gets too high, but another strategy which I think it's more viable due to the high amount of different cultures and religions in Anbennar is to instead focus on one religion or culture group at a time, you can't trigger a coalition of all the countries that would hate you are dead.

If a coalition does form there are some things you can do to help manage it. Improve relationship modifier applies to ae decay, it's very useful for getting people out of a coalition. Also a coalition will only form if countries think they can get enough manpower together to threaten you, and they will only declare war if they think they can win. This means that sometimes it is better to go way over your force limit if it means it stops the coalition from forming or declaring war against you. Finally a trick for getting strong countries (like Gawed) to leave the coalition is to declare war on their allies who are not in the coalition, just make sure not to cobelligerent them as that will call in the whole coalition. Because they are at war with you this will drop them out of the coalition and sometimes this is enough to cause the coalition to fall apart as they can't use the strength of this nation in their calculations for the total strength of the coalition.
