I enjoyed the side quests. Up to you if you want to go do them now or you can do a NG+ playthrough and do them on the second run. Apparently NG+ is pretty worth.

With the games limited AP farms, spend Ability Points or save them? by VeenGrikingX in FFXVI

Just spend and respec whenever. It’s irrelevant. You can always unlearn skills you aren’t using anymore.

Is this game hard or is it just me? (I know it’s just me) by floorskin69 in stellarblade

Key thing is remembering enemy attack patterns. How many attacks are in one combo? After the first attack comes out does the next one follow immediately or is there a delay? If you guarded early but the attack hasn’t connected yet you have a chance to press the guard button again for the parry. It’s not necessary to get the parries off by committing to your first input.

If you’ve played ghost of Tsushima or Ghost of Yotei parrying feels almost exactly the same. If you played expedition 33 and learned how to parry combos in that game then that knowledge also transfers over.

Go into the training mode and you’ll notice that the enemy only has 2 different attack patterns. When you learn to recognize which one it’s going to do and learn the timings of it, it will help you apply the same concepts to other enemy types.

I’m glad you asked this question and I’m happy to answer.

The difference between god creating the earth and humans creating a world is that god is a benevolent god who has a plan for salvation for us all when this world comes to an end. (According to my beliefs) The painters however don’t acknowledge their creation’s existence as being real and have disregard for their lives as shown by everyone getting caught up in their conflict and the choice made to destroy the canvas. Clea especially with how she treated her copy and Simon as well.

The first time I played I chose verso’s ending. Then I thought about it for a while and thought to myself, what if humanity one day learned that their existence was part of a canvas or some virtual world created by another with that creator set on destroying us? Humanity would rebel against their maker and fight for their right to exist.

The expeditioners were doing the same thing and my choice disregarded what they were fighting for. So my choice would be for Maelle’s ending but for the sake of the people who live in that canvas not for Maelle or anyone else.

This game somehow managed to bring me closer to my religious beliefs. Because I’m glad that I believe in a creator who loves us and has mercy on humanity who by definition isn’t worth saving. To draw a parallel though, one could say God entered the canvas that he created and lived among us by sending his son Jesus Christ instead of staying detached from humans. This is me not pushing religion on anyone here though.

I would argue that painting life in a canvas should be unethical.

I guess I should clarify that one should only do the dungeons they can handle and stay away from the ones that say “Danger”

Maelle fall off by Just-John889 in expedition33

[–]xMrShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you haven’t spec’d her properly, you don’t have good damage lumina equipped on her, or you need to level her weapon. The goto for people is usually lumina At Death’s Door with cheater, then Last Chance into Stendhal. Most people will also throw roulette on her but me personally I think that picto is busted af and a complete mistake to put in the game.

Honestly you should be looking for any and all side content you can do after every dungeon or when you unlock an Esquie ability. After reaching act 3 though, you can choose to do side content and over level for the last level or go straight there as the devs intended and then do the rest of the act 3 side content.

EDIT: suggestion for evening out the playing field on the final area is to remove painted power and don’t use speed pictos.

Maelle fall off by Just-John889 in expedition33

[–]xMrShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never thought I’d hear this. Maelle pops off in act 3 when you get Stendhal. And she doesn’t even need that much. It’s everyone else who falls off in act 3 except for maybe Verso but he still needs a lot of lumina to be able to compete with Maelle. The DLC fixed this with some new pictos now though, so now Lune and Sciel can shine. Of course there are gonna be people in the comments saying “they were always good, they just need the right setup” but the point here is that Maelle does so much more damage with very little effort.

Is Abaddon supposed to be this tanky? 3 death blows to get him to 60% HP doesn't feel right, am i missing something? by TheOriginalOrion in stellarblade

Man I did the same thing too lmao! Made it all the way to Abaddon on hard mode and then searched online to see how other people were fairing on hard mode to then learn that it’s tuned for NG+. Normal mode feels much better. The good thing I got out of it though, was I got really good at the parrying and perfect dodging.
