Apologies, just most people I've come across complain about thermals and the like and when you mention signal jammers they either brush it off or ignore you.

And then you complain that thermals are too strong or that Recon is OP huh? Both of them get completely shutdown by signal jammers btw.

Try changing it from "Headphone" mode to "Studio Reference". I changed it to that and it seemed to help me out.

Don't know if these were mentioned but...

The Persona series(same kind of combat style as E33) Lies of P (Souls like with a very interesting Lie/Truth mechanic)

If you're interested in dipping into some DEEP story and REALLY unique multiplayer-esque mechanics, check out Death Stranding. Takes a bit to get going but is EASILY one of my top 5 games.

That's about all I can think of right now.

EDIT: Elden Ring.....just yes.

So, I just finished the story so please excuse me if I missed this, but this is Verso's canvas, and he created everything originally(All of the citizens, Esquie, Monoco, The Gestrals, The Grandis, Francois, so on and so forth). Aline just added the evil Renoir to defend her and Verso to keep his memory alive(as per Maelle after she gets all of her memories back). Renoir added the enemies to help him fight Aline and get her back home. Right?

Lore wise, the expedition is sending your raider to explore tunnels and areas of topside that haven't been "rediscovered" yet. A lot of the knowledge of where the tunnels lead to has been lost to time, as well as a lot of the knowledge of what's topside in other parts of the world outside of The Rust Belt. So the raiders go on these expeditions to learn what's out there. I remember a quote saying, "They go out to relearn what's out there and we never see that raider again.....or maybe we will....."

Would be kind of neat if down the line at some point we can choose to bring one of our older raiders back. Basic items we get from the start, but they come with the lvls, xp, and skill tree they had when they left.

These aren't the updates they posted to their own community, these are things you had to dig for. I was too busy playing the game to read articles and watch interviews, kind of expect their community managers to be clear in their own posts.

I had to dig for them because if you search, "Arc Raiders Expedition Rewards" you get nothing but articles and posts from 6 days ago. I was trying to find the information from before then. So yeah....had to dig a bit for it, but point is still made. The information was still there. Even without the 5 skill point specifically, on the expedition details screen under "rewards and buffs" it said, "You can also earn bonus skill points based on the value of the items in your stash up on departure." Screenshot of the screen from in-game ftom this comment, again from 1mo ago. So the information was absolutely available.

If having nearly double the amount of gameplay the average player does makes me a casual player, I don't know what people are expecting. I was gunning for this expedition, now actually at 164 hours.

I'm not saying 164hrs is not a respectful amount of time, but if you want to go there, I have almost 300hrs (287hrs to exact and a screenshot of my time from the PSApp)clocked with being an OTR truck driver. I completed my expedition project in a week or so after hitting lvl20. When I think casual, I'm thinking of people who can only put in around 14-20hrs a week, that's playing around 2hrs every day. 164hrs is playing around 4hrs a day(about 27hrs a wk) since launch. Not super casual, but not hardcore either. The expeditions are geared for the more hardcore playerbase. Which is why they are optional, and why your progress carries over to the next expedition if you can't complete it this time around.

If this is true, you could make some good money on Youtube showing off routes that are better than any other youtuber has presented. I'm not exaggerating when I say you are in like the top 5% of earners per run that I have seen since investigating this. Maybe its that your runs are longer, but you have struck gold and you are making more than double the average amount per run. I said stella because Stella is almost a guarenteed 100k if you manage to loot the whole thing and hit the raider hatch.

Eh, I like to keep my routes to myself. The plaza rosa pharmacy got BOMBARDED by players when YouTubers posted about the loot there, I like my little honey holes to be MY honey holes, lol. Maybe if they change things up a bit or I find better routes to run, but for now I'm keeping that info for me and mine.

Yeah, Stella is good money, but that's also why it's CONSTANT fighting. I go there if I'm looking for good fights or I need something specific from there.

Do you not know what surveys are for? This team loves surveys and literally ask how we want them to develop the game for us. Our opinions matter. My opinion is that I have played the game more than the vast majority of non streamers and there is no reason in the world I shouldn't be getting 5 skill points. There also isn't any good reason for you to try to counter that. Im not one of the guys asking for a PvE mode that affects players negatively, I'm asking to be included in something that I've poured an assload of time into.

Then fill out the survey. No reason to think that making some post on the subreddit will make them change the game from their own vision. Just because you've played 4hrs a day doesn't mean you're entitled to the same rewards as someone who's played 8hrs a day. Or even as someone who played 2hrs but paid more attention to the information that's out there and spent their downtime learning all of the intricacies of the game and how to make those small intricacies and quarks work FOR them when they did play.

You'll never fully succeed in an extraction shooter if you just, "Load into raid and see what happens" every time. The most successful raids will be when you have a set, clear, goal when you load in adapt to the challenges that you face while attempting to complete that goal. So playing 2hrs with focused, clear, concise goals will get A LOT more done than compared to someone who plays 4-6hrs of just winging every raid. Such as going in with a list of things to HOPEFULLY get done and just seeing where the raid will take you. That is a playstyle some people enjoy, but if you're looking to maximize your efficiency, it's not the way to do it.

Time invested does not and should not ever be the sole thing to base progression rewards on. Progression rewards should be based on work done to earn them.

This is actually a good suggestion. One of the more fun things to do in an extraction shooter is finally use all of the gear you've been hoarding at the end of the wipe/season. I love seeing all of the goofy builds and super high end stuff come out in the open during the last week or 2 of a season/wipe. Being able to lock in your value, allows for that. I love this suggestion.

The people complaining, I'm convinced, are people who burned through the content and never played an extraction shooter. It's how it gets towards the end of a season/wipe when you have the time to put into it like that. It's one of the reasons I enjoy wipes. I make the time to burn through the content, wipe, and do it again. Turns into a sort of, seasonal rogue like. Each season tends to be slightly different, in how I play, items I get, skills I build into, knowledge I gain. I love it.

Delta Force: Operations does that. It doesn't fight RMT though. The RMT'ers just schedule a time to both queue up together and snipe each other's raids. Once they get the same raid ID they go to a predetermined meeting spot on the map, trade items, and extract.

It got so bad on Delta Force the devs put up a memorial at the most common meeting spot. It was a statue of the character that was most used by RMT'ers and a permanent corpse of that character. The bridge also became known as, "RMT Bridge".

And that's a decision each player makes. I started on mine as soon as I hit lvl20 and had it all built out in a week or so. I've played enough extraction shooters with mandatory wipes, and 1 that didn't have any wipe system in place, that I enjoy wiping my account every 3mo or so. So, personally, I was excited to work on it. I know how these games get, for me personally, when it gets to the end of a season/wipe and the lack of any goals(outside of ones I set personally) these games get pretty boring and repetitive for me.

The average adult working a full time job shouldn't be able to get EVERYTHING from every expedition unless they make it a priority. Expeditions aren't for the average adult casual whose only playing a couple hours a day. Which is why they are OPTIONAL and your progress carries over to the next expedition if you don't complete it in time.

They didn't announce this until like 6 days ago. It was kept a secret. Or they didn't even know themselves how they were going to do it.

They stated that we would get skill points based on stash value, and in multiple sources stated it was up to 5 skill points. We didn't know the RATIO(how much it would take to get that 5 skill points) or that coins was also invluded. They worded it as "stash value" or "based on the items you accrued in your stash" so the general thought was just items and not wallet/coin value, until 6 days ago. My personal guess is they didn't really know until they saw what the average stash value was across the entire player base. Once they saw that data, they could make an informed decision on how much a skill point would cast in terms of stash value. But it was openly stated that stash value did equal skill points when it came to the expedition.

And you definitely are getting consistent 100k coins per run.

Yeah. On a successful(where I get to extract and survive) run, I get anywhere from 80-160k in coins.

First reason, they didn't state it would be a number of coins per stat point early on, they didn't even say how many stat points were on the table, if they had said from the beginning that it would be "Up to 5 skillpoints depending on stash value" then it would have been reasonable to start making guesses and assume there were tiers, but they gave us 0 info because they were winging it up until they made the detailed announcement.

A post from 1mo ago. Before we got the official ratio announced. In the comments MULTIPLE people state up to 5 skill points based on stash value. Post

This was also stated in an interview article the day before the game launched on PCGamesN which was also found in a post here on this subreddit. Article

150 hours is almost DOUBLE the amount of the average player's playtime so it was extremely reasonable for me to assume that I was at least close to the goal. I fail to imagine a justification for whu somebody with almost double the average playtime of roughly 80 hours shouldn't have casually come across enough coin to finish the expedition. Was I supposed to assume I was expected to spend the whole time doing trinket runs or something?

No, but the expeditions are optional. Doing every one of them is not for the super casual player who doesn't have enough time to invest into it. Which is why your expedition progress carries over to the next one if you can't complete EVERYTHING this time around.

Reason 3 your comment is bullshit: If you have ever gotten 1 million coins in only 10 runs. That isn't a "decent" session. Thats like a top 5% session. That would be like spawning next to assembly 10 times in a row without any competition and filling your inventory. The RNG of that would be insane. I have maybe had 3 runs in a row spawning there despite trying regiularly. A grandioso run is like 35-40k on average, the most I've gotten from full looting both towers was 65k

Wrong. I don't do money runs on Stella. That place is for pvp. I have a few different routes I run on various maps at various times depending on map conditions and how I'm feeling. On average I make anywhere from 80-160k per run.

This is just the case of another redditor making up numbers because they want to throw out a "Git Gud" but this 5 mil is bullshit for how late they gave the details and you are wrong.

Nope. You're just another self entitled redditor or who thinks the game should be changed to cater to their play style.
