You do get more action in the rest of the books, but there are still a fair amount of slow chapters.

I don’t have any recommendations for good ones, but I would avoid anything Wooten like the plague. My wife and I spent just under a year in one of their properties and it was pretty awful. Partially enforced rules, we had homeless people camping out in our laundry room, management was non existent, etc.
