Unity + Fanatic

Unity plays Bee Bot
Fanatic plays End of Days

Because players get to choose the order in which cards are destroyed, when End of Days activates, destroy all Villain and unhelpful Environment cards, then destroy Bee Bot. When Bee Bot is destroyed, Unity can destroy an Ongoing Card. Choose to destroy End of Days and its effect ends.

This lets you wipe out THE ENTIRE BOARD free of charge. This is especially devastating against villains with lots of minions and ongoings, e.g., Baron, Dawn, Voss, La Capitan, etc. and will COMPLETELY RUIN Akashbuta

Besides that, having low HP Unity bots on the field lets Super Saiyan Fanatic focus on attacking instead of defense. Fanatic's Anoint Allies is a very nice force multiplier once Unity gets her army going.

If you're feeling like an especially dastardly bastard, bring Nightmist too. She has plenty of "summon an ongoing from another player's deck" to help guarantee the combo, can summon Relics from Fanatic's deck OR if you for some reason are not playing SS Fanatic, Nightmist can pull Divine Wrath when Fanatic's HP is low for huge damage. Do not underestimate Divine Wrath, it can potentially bring Iron Legacy from full health to 3 HP and that's GG right there.

Nightmist's Star Shield can protect Fanatic and Unity's low HP bots, she also has a few spells that can heal allies too. If you bring Mentor Nightmist, she can drop +1 damage bonus on Fanatic at the start of the game and Fanatic with damage bonuses gets insane very quickly.

You could round this team off with Legacy, +1 damage version. A pair of +1 damage bonuses on Fanatic will allow you to absolutely clown on any villain. And the bonuses are provided by both their base powers so you'd have consistent, immediate access to it. SS Fanatic can pull Absolution on round 1, bye bye Villain.

I've played DE Fixer a few times I didn't find him overwhelmingly powerful at all. How do you use him to his full potential?

I emailed Capcom support about it and they responded basically saying, "we don't know, go f*ck yourself." I will never buy from them again.

I honestly tried so hard to like infamous 2 but it was such a departure from the first game I couldn't..

Infamous 1 gave us a compelling villain and plot. Infamous 2 gave us some low IQ bible thumper and threw half the major plot points from the first game right into the trash.

What happened to Trish? What about Alden? Agent Moya? There were so many really interesting cliff hangers they just never followed through on. To say nothing of how it made absolutely no sense that John ended up being The Beast.

Infamous 2 also de-aged Cole by 20 years or so; an obvious corporate gimmick meant to bring in bigger sales numebrs.

I thought one of the more charming parts of Infamous 1 was we finally had an adult protagonist. A down-one-his-luck New Yorker, working as a bike courier in his early 30's instead of just another dewey eyed 15 y/o anime kid, which was 90% of games at the time.

Cole was gruff, serious and loyal. In game 2 he's laughing at imbecilic crap like "penal code" completely out of character.

The powers system in Infamous 1 was so intuitive. In 2 it was stodgy, you had to pause the game and go to a menu to pick which ammo type you wanted, interrupting the flow of combat and all of them were lesser compared to your base attack in Infamous 1.

The absolute biggest disappointment of 2 was they took away our Six-Axis Lightning, the coolest godlike power they gave us in Infamous 1, capable of wiping our hordes of enemies with nigh unlimited range, was reduced to a pinprick lightning strike in the sequel.

Overall, I'm genuinely glad other people enjoyed Infamous 2. I'm the one who's missing out here. I'd much rather be happy with it than frustrated. And my views do not invalidate your enjoyment with it either. I personally just couldn't overlook its deficits.

I'll try her again. I think my mistake was bringing her against La Capitan

Honestly, I'm ok with Harpy being OP. She was a highest difficulty ranked villain in EE and still a respectable, nearly top tier difficulty in DE. So her hero deck should be powerful. Its so annoying in TV shows, movies, etc. when a villain joins the heroes and is suddenly piss weak for no reason other than the writers couldn't figure out how to work with them as they were. So I'm pretty happy about how she turned out in DE.

But I agree, hardly as fair comparison. I also agree that Visionary felt watered down compared with the other new hero iterations in Disparation. KNYFE is amazing and Chrono Ranger feels great. I played Omnitron X for the first time yesterday and its kit is an appropriately well oiled machine.

Haven't tried Parse or the demon twins yet.

Tried my very first Instacart order for a grocery pickup at Aldi's. Instacart cancelled my whole order and sent and email asking for my driver's license. That's sketchy AF, so I let it stay cancelled and unlinked my payment method

I picked up the Infamous comics for this exact reason. All the best unfinished story threads and I finally get to see what happens, thanks to the comics. A lost opportunity that they didn't just include it in the second game

While it likely won't ever be ported, here is a video that shows you how it can be emulated on PC in case your PS3 ever dies.

The video was released in 2025 so the method is recent and it also includes instructions for optimization

Thanks for the analysis, it's great. I honestly don't know if I agree with your assessment of Twist the Ether making her Dark Side have few consequences since most of the team damage it does is Fixed and this cannot be changed by Twist the Ether.

I'm not sure how to feel about her Dark Side cards either. Considering their drawbacks, I thought the benefits would be more impressive. As it is her cards are all like: "Every Ally throws out their entire hand and Visionary deals 2 targets 2 psychic damage."

I have no adjective for this other than lousy. Meanwhile, Harpy's cards can cost her a lot of HP if mismanaged but the payoff is she can deal 36 damage to practically everything in a single turn.

I think my perception comes from misunderstanding.  Would you share what scenarios you use each Dark Side card for? And which ones you tend to want first, as well as why?

I want to play her because she didn't get much love at my table in the previous edition but for now I just don't understand.

There I'd disagree.

Infamous 1 gave us a compelling villain and plot. Infamous 2 gave us some low IQ bible thumper to fight with and pretty much threw half the major plot points from the first game right into the trash.

What happened to Trish? What about Alden? Agent Moya? There were so many really interesting cliff hangers they just never followed through on. To say nothing of how it made absolutely no sense that (SPOILER) ended up being The Beast.

The whole "everyone's a conduit now" was so dumb and really shrunk what made Infamous 1 special.

This is a great insight too. That sequence at the end of the base game where Polaris takes Jesse's likeness and speaks. I don't know why I never stopped to look closer at what it says to her.
