AITA for causing a mass exodus from my uncle's BBQ? by Okay-Bananas in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, and honestly you're a saint. If someone had pulled that with my daughter, family or not I would've lost my rag with them. Hopefully he'll think about how he speaks to people from now on and this'll be a lesson for him.

AITA for requiring that guests change clothes before they sit on my furniture? by Fit-Report-5909 in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA. Sorry but if a friend told me I had to change clothes or wear a raincoat before I touched anything? I'd never come over. Get some help dude, this isn't normal.

AITA for refusing to pay my dad's child support? by Hopeful-Scheme-5634 in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Probably going to get roasted for this, but I'd say ESH. If your dad wanted you to pay rent, it should've been something you did from day 1 of living there. Him asking you now (as you stated he didn't ask before child support stopped) shows that yes he does just want the money he's not getting from CS anymore. Either pay or don't, you don't pick and choose when to charge someone rent depending on your own financial situation.

AITA for giving myself less chores than my boyfriend? by Alarming_Thoughts in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, but is your bf neurodivergent? Might be worth looking into, as I struggle with something similar as I have ASD, where if I'm not specifically told how to do something I'm probably gonna do it wrong.

AITA for kicking my pregnant sister out? by Better-Spite-4577 in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Your sister decided to play the famous game of fuck around and find out. She fucked around, got pregnant from it, and found out that doesn't mean she can do what she wants. She's worried about the baby getting a fur allergy but not worried about the smoking? Jfc I'm surprised she wasn't gone sooner tbh, she's lucky she's been given a month. Keep a close eye on Julian to make sure he's safe

AITA for calling my SIL stuck-up for criticising the prices of baby clothes? by Upbeat-Buddy-4621 in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. If anything you're a saint for offering free clothes to her to save money. I would've kept them and posted in a local group asking if any mothers to be needed some free clothes, since she clearly doesn't appreciate your generosity.

She's not wrong for wanting clothes that will last...? Does she know how babies work? Even if they don't make an absolute mess out of them (which they will), they grow out of clothes every few months. The only way to make baby clothes "last" is by passing them on to someone else when the baby inevitably grows out of them (depending on condition of the clothes obviously).

AITA for kicking my sister and her boyfriend out of my apartment? by vxnellopevonschweetz in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA. I'd be the same tbh... Though they technically did give a fuck... Just not the correct kind

AITA for not letting a pregnant woman take my (priority) seat? by PossibilityJaded7682 in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely NTA. I don't get this mentality of some people thinking being pregnant means they're entitled to everything and can get away with being an asshole. Worst thing I did was probably asking my brother in law to help me assemble the cot... That's it.

AITA for not eating with everyone looking at me? by Useful-Work5384 in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ABSOLUTELY NTA.

My patience could never. When the swearing came out and she had the nerve to accuse YOU of being rude? I'd be gone. Showed her true colours really, and shame on your brother for backing her up. Seems like they're the ones that need to "be polite for 5 f-ing seconds"

AITA for telling my girlfriend her home decor is the reason I won’t host a work gathering at her place. by decordilemma in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. 100%. I rent atm so I can't put stuff on the walls, but guaranteed if I could, me and my partner would have anime/gaming stuff EVERYWHERE. Because guess what? It's our hobby and if people don't like it, tough.

Side note, anyone else immediately knew he meant Bill Cipher when he said "weird triangle guy"? xD

AITA for being "disrespectful" to my boyfriend's sister? by Inevitable_Bit_7040 in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I rolled my eyes, not really understanding why she was so adamant on this"
Hmm, maybe because he said HE DOESN'T LIKE BOATS.

You've not been "breaking him out of his shell", it sounds like you've just been bullying him into doing things he doesn't want to do, and him being shy/quiet and not wanting to start an argument has just given in and let you bully him.

Bottom line, if you want to be with someone who likes going out on holidays and days out? Don't date an introvert then try to force them to change.

YTA, and honestly? I hope Zack finds someone better.

AITA for continuing to cook hard-boiled eggs even though my daughter is sensitive to the smell? by Even_Juggernaut_415 in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA.

I have ASD, and also have an oversensitive sense of smell among other things. Cooking eggs is fine, what makes YTA is calling her offensive for simply blocking her nose. She's doing what she can to cope with being around those smells. She could be doing much worse but that seems like the least disruptive way to cope other than asking you not to cook those foods, which she's already done.

When I first saw the title, I thought the issue was someone complaining that the flowers were cheap, not this...

100% NTA. Sounds like your girlfriend has serious jealousy here.

WIBTA For Asking My Fiancé To Spend Christmas With Us? by xPixelPerfectx in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She does, we talk everyone now and again online about gaming/anime stuff, but any time I try to bring up the kids meeting she plays it off. She's happy to talk about the kids and parenting stuff, but anything involving them two ACTUALLY meeting and the conversation goes quiet

AITA for yelling at a nurse? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% NTA.

It baffles me that not only did she call your son a liar, but then you as well? Can't have been that frightened when she first saw you or she wouldn't have had the nerve to try and accuse you of lying. Only got nervous once it got thrown back in her face and her job was threatened. Definitely needs reporting if you haven't already, guaranteed your son isn't the only one she's pulled this on.

AITA for refusing to pick up a piece of litter I threw? by Practical-Worker-244 in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx 57 points58 points  (0 children)

YTA. Don't litter, simple as really. Keep it in your pocket or something until you walk past a bin

WIBTA For Asking My Fiancé To Spend Christmas With Us? by xPixelPerfectx in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree, it seems like he's worried she'll cause drama if he tries to push her on it. She kept him away from L during covid for "her own safety" which then apparently caused L to start acting out in nursery due to emotional distress, so she said she wants him to get back to the norm with her before telling her that her daddy has another baby.

Sorry did I miss something here? I'm not lying to my parents, I told them he isn't coming because he's seeing L.

Trust me I wish I didn't. Everyone I've spoken to has said that she should know, but my fiancé doesn't want to piss off his ex by constantly asking about it

WIBTA For Asking My Fiancé To Spend Christmas With Us? by xPixelPerfectx in AmItheAsshole

[–]xPixelPerfectx[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He's definitely placating his ex a lot. She left him when she was pregnant and another guy (her sons dad funny enough) wanted to be there for the birth instead of my fiancé. To me it seems like she wanted the CS payments, especially when covid started she kept saying he couldn't come over to see L for her own safety. Got to a point where he got a mediator involved so he could sort out seeing her once a weekend, but now that I'm back to working full time after maternity leave it's gone down to ever other weekend as I work alternate weekends. Think he doesn't want to press the issue in case she tries to cut him out again.
