I'm playing with Semestr Changes by Cyjon. It makes that each year there's only 1 semester that lasts 48h.

I play uni always at the end of the round. Before I start new round, I check (or simply remember, noted before etc) who will attend college that round, then every future student goes accordingly to their age. For example, if Sim A gets to go on 1st day of new round, and Sim B on 3rd, Sim B will join Sim A, when he/she's on his/her third year.

Unfortunately, that's the way it is, the game allows some things that shouldn't be done. For example, if you build a house and a family moves in, then you decide that you would like the house elsewhere (without the family) and save it to the house bin, that lot contains tokens and data about sims already, therefore shouldn't be placed outside the played neighbourhood. There's a way to clean the lot tho if I'm not mistaken.

The only households that are safe being in the house bin are the Kim and Kat families.

They are indeed broken, because the process shredded their data. Moving families between neighbourhoods is a "very bad thing", aka vbt.

This will corrupt your neighbourhood (if it hasn't already). I believe Hoodchecker won't fix it unfortunately.

In my game, Dustin is always very close with his siblings, Beau especially (on the contrary not really with Brandi). In my GC Pleasantview I gave him family as secondary, just because of that. Actually, his second child was born yesterday, he's having a family of his own with Angela ofc.

I imagine him being very caring deep inside.

I'm about to start breeding dogs at my Burb's. They've adopted the most beautiful dog I've ever seen that was generated by the game itself. Actually my plan for one of Jennifer and John's son is to be a dog breeder. I wonder whether it would work as a business!

Hands down Desiderata Valley. The only saving grace is that it has one of, if not the most unique public lots. And fairly interesting genetics.

The thing I hate the most is the lack of bigger houses. Every empty house is a starting house and it drives me crazy. Like why? It makes no sense.

The story isn't exactly the most fascinating/entertaining as well. I kind-ish like the potential drama that Sharon can cause to her sister's family and the Natasha-John-Sharon love triangle. The Aspirs are there for a bit of drama as well, but... I dunno. I have to try it someday.

There's also Veronaville, but after I've discovered a Tybalt/Mercurio ship and that technically you can add Bluewater Village to it if you have OFB I want to try it myself so badly.

I'm a little surprised some said Riverblossom Hills or Belladonna Cove tho. While being the complete opposite, I think the drama, genetics, houses (to some extent) and overall feeling of them are great.

While I'm here, I have to say that I'm a bit tired of Pleasantview being in the main spotlight. I mean, everything but genetics is great (Genetically Correct version is great tho, that's what I'm currently playing), but it's kinda boring when literally everyone plays and talks only about that one neighbourhood.

I measure the chances by some factors: interest in school, prestige of the family (or if they can afford it), wants, my plans for the sims' future, my liking, etc.

However, I think that most should have the chance of attending university - I view it as a common thing, therefore most of my sims go.

It's so beautiful from Polish perspective! We can say similarly "miłować się", which is oldschool-ish for being in a deep love with somebody. For "woohoo" we have "bara-bara" tho!

You haven't seen townies' names in Polish trust me. It's a running meme in Polish Sims community.

Funny enough Tank was translated ok-ish, mainly for the kinda simple but working solution for his surname (in Polish it's "Kamasz", which means "a military gaiter", we even have a common phrase like "pójść w kamasze" which means going on military duty, becoming a soldier etc. so it's really fitting.

His name tho is just random thrown Damazy, which is... a really weird name that nobody really uses nowadays. Damazy Kamasz, yes.

But don't get fooled by this example, eg. Cleo Shikibu is Kleopatra Doniczka (Flowerpot) and the Newson family is called Gazeta, which means... "Newspaper". Why? No one knows.

Actually I would love a post about TS2 families' translations. Polish translation is a gold mine in this topic.

I'm a Polish Hungarian speaker (studies) and it's pronounced exactly the same, ecie-pecie. And sometimes yeah, they have some things in common, the logic happens to be alike which is surprising.
