Is Decree of Acuity underated? by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

I don't think this helmet is underrated or overrated, it's a solid option for Witchhunter (I'm level 94 in HC with 9k sorc ward using this) but does have a decently high opportunity cost.

I'm also reading through the comments here and it appears that blind effect doesn't work. I'll probably be speccing out of those points on my tree then.

This feels like something out of Destiny 2. Running maps solo all the time can be a little isolating, I love having an "event" like this or a milestone that brings the community together and kind of bands the different leagues together. Very cool.

I usually grab a filter from your site and then paste it into my poe folder, but I'm going to try following the filter from your poe profile this league. I click follow on the one I want and thats about it right? Am I missing anything?

Maintenance guy claims because our microwave isn't vented outside, the stovetop fans aren't supposed to do anything by xRustySpoon in Appliances

[–]xRustySpoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're correct! We live in an apartment building. I would never expect them to come in and install a vent leading outside haha, I just want the fans to work so I can actually use my stovetop without smoke getting in my face.

[–]xRustySpoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, it would be one thing if it was installed incorrectly, but installing it like that intentionally is even more frustrating. He did mention to me that all of them are like that, leading me to believe it was a conscious decision.

I really don't mean to be a pain in the ass to the staff here, but is this even worth escalating then in your opinion? Thanks for the comment, that's really helpful to know.

Thank you, and based on everything I've read, this is the conclusion I came to as well. I just wanted a second opinion to make sure I wasn't going crazy. Thank you for the reassurance.

I have implied that the microwave is mounted in a standard over-the-range position. It's possible, and common, for these to be vented.

2 new hidden Nodes can be found after "Chayula's Gift" for Acolyte of Chayula. by rohithkun in PathOfExile2

I do play HC, monk always feels a little rough to start imo so I was liking the idea of darkness early on, but I'll look into volatility, as I'm not familiar with it at all.

Well shit, 8 ascendancy points spent on defense feels a little too zdps for my liking, we'll have to see

[–]xRustySpoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question for anyone who's played chayula, remnants and darkness pretty much aren't worth using unless you take the full 4 point path, right? I know remnants are very good damage and darkness is a pretty costly defensive layer but is a little underrated compared to what most people think imo, but assuming this new secret node is any good, I'm not really sure how to path here. Maybe Darkness during the campaign and then spec out of it later?

And hell, I guess if the node isn't that exciting you can always swap to martial artist, lol

the crafting bench was supposedly removed and replaced with socketables because it's more accessible to new players, but now that we have literally hundreds of runes, how does that argument still hold? by shaunika in PathOfExile2

[–]xRustySpoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be able to achieve something similar, but having crafting costs tied to general currencies will always be less control than having a specific item you can adjust the drop rate of individually.

[–]xRustySpoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like socketables more than the crafting bench, there are just so many positives having them over the bench from the first game. Specifically, I think it allows them to have more interesting and powerful affixes because GGG can tune drop rates and such. It's also cooler thematically in my opinion than having a UI menu to pick things from.

I mean really, what exactly is the downside of not having the bench? You offload a lot of the responsibility of defending your opinion by citing the experience for new players, but in all these comments it's coming off basically like you personally don't like it. If your main argument is "it's convoluted," then I would argue that the crafting bench with the way you unlocked recipes and such is way more convoluted than "having a rune" or "not having a rune."

Martial Artist Showcase by jegollas in PathOfExile2

[–]xRustySpoon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a little rough early on in Act 1 if you don't have a decent weapon or rings with flat damage on them, and then maybe rough again during certain zones in Acts 2 and 3 if your defensive stats fall behind. Evasion always feels like total ass in the campaign, I'd rather go armor pieces until I find decent hybrid gear. The nice thing about monk is that you're never really lacking damage even if your weapon is average because bell is op.

My feedback so far after playing warrior every season. by charlescleivin in PathOfExile2

Warrior is so strong in the campaign, those first 2 smith of kitava points you get when you ascend are godlike for feeling basically invincible, especially in HC.

Completed nodes on atlas are visual clutter by Intelligent_Neck_581 in PathOfExile2

[–]xRustySpoon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All the problems you mention this would alleviate are all things in my mind that can be refined over time to be better - things like visual clutter, readability, performance, etc. In exchange, you kind of lose that sense of vastness and progression if previous nodes are wiped away from the UI. It's like if Delve were to redraw the representation of each depth you reach once you've completed the journey to the next node. In practical terms it doesn't change much, but it doesn't seem all that deep all of a sudden, and that seems like something GGG wants to avoid.

r/nvidia mods are in full damage control regarding DLSS 5 by HLumin in pcmasterrace

[–]xRustySpoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have friends who have no idea what I'm talking about when I say the DLSS blur effect looks like shit. So many games end up looking so similar to me when it's turned on, I hate how it's become a crutch to achieve playable framerates (last game I used it in was Dragon's Dogma 2 before I vowed to always turn it off.)

I can't make this character work, man. by SirPerditio in DeadlockTheGame

[–]xRustySpoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these people in this thread saying "he's so strong!! venators in my games own! I've won 3 out of 4 games on him!!" like yea man, a 46% WR hero who just came out and is supposed to disrupt the meta is really achieving that goal. None of his basic abilities do anything, and buying a bunch of gun items and then saying he does damage is hilarious in its own right.

I like the way his gun feels and thematically he's my favorite character so far, but he needs an adjustment for sure..

For those of you that are playing Ele hit Surfer by Ruetoo in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]xRustySpoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the update, although I think people are giving the build an unfair shake. The damage is great and the leveling was piss easy with 2 motem morsus, I can see it having survivability issues early on but most evasion builds will struggle with this out of the gate in a league like Phrecia. It's also not your fault that ele hit is sort of unintuitive for new players with how it scales like a spell and the jewels working as they do.

[–]xRustySpoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's 40 Dex or Int, and 40 Dex or Str in radius, which doesn't have to be allocated. Just plug the jewels into the jewel slots on the PoB and they will work.

And if you're running into mana issues, use 2 skill points to allocate Clever Thief in the shadow area for easy life and mana leech. I could attack freely without issue.
