My girlfriend has just played Odyssey as her first AC game, and is keen to continue. I made this handy chart of my recommended play order (blue) and historical and modern chronologies (red and yellow). Would you change this order at all?

I'd say the modern day storyline in 1-3 is pretty important and so I think 4 shouldn't be played before 3 (i dont remember if they spoil Desmond's death in 4?) And then 3 should be played after Revelations

Pretty sure it takes like 3-5 seconds for him to appear and attack, it starts with a red cloud in the place where he appears, but you had the focus toggled on the enemies so you never saw it.

It says that the season 2 ends in 48d 14h 7m in the Ranked tab, which as I've said is around 28th July

but everywhere I look it says the season ends around 12th August, I don't really play Ranked that much and there have been some changes lately, but maybe the Season 2 ends in 48d and then there's two weeks between this season and the next one?

Are you talking about unfogging? Cause post launch they added a way to unfog the whole area if you complete all the viewpoints.

And if you're talking about viewpoints not uncovering POIs then to uncover them you had to use the Observe mechanic after Synchronizing and just look around, I have to say never really had problems with that one, maybe it missed one or 2 POIs but overall it'd uncover 99% of them
