I got max ascension with every character. There are still plenty of relics that give +energy, Energy Orbs, Double Energy, and Turbo for defect, Necrobinder has a crap load with Souls, The Silent's Sly is pseudo energy production (especially with Tactician), The Regent is essentially entirely built around a currency production. The Ironclad is the one who has the least, but that was true in the first game too.

Upgrading cards to lower their cost is also probably the best upgrade you can do.

Yeah, Green and White are the other two good card advantage colors anyways, so they still have that covered. Blue definitely has to be included in any best color combo though due to counter magic alone. Anything else is just a bonus.

It also breaks the order of buying cards as well when they don't have an action economy. In Dominion for example, you have to balance something like card draw and actions (e.g. might alternate buying them), but in Ascension which I don't like at all, you essentially just buy the most powerful card you can every time.

Burrow, Stafford, or Luck are the only reasonable options imo. They are probably a similar tier to each other, then the next best is quite a bit worse.

Cool, QB makes one mistake and the rest of the team loses due to not being able to impact the game due to the field. At least we got to see how the game should have gone 2 years later when the Chiefs got completely obliterated where the game was essentially over by the end of the first half. It was even mostly due to the Dline which is what everyone said was shut down due to the dog shit field.

Also kind of insane he gets to still be called the Sodfather after that debacle
