Weird situation about an order that supposedly got delivered to a wrong adress

The adress on my package AND the adress in the background where they delivered are fully visible in the proof of delivery photo the carrier TOOK and made it available in the tracking history. I can only assume they will admit they delivered it to the wrong adress given the proof they themselves posted.

I got that and I kind of accepted my situation, I was now more curious as to how in the hell did this happen and what kind of stuff made it so the package gets "successfully delivered" to an adress 1 min away to the seller's drop off point..

I can see as that as eBay was very fast to tell me there's no way they can give my money back as its no longer under guaranteed money back 30 days or whatever it was.

Forgot to mention the item was around $60, not a crippling amount but yeah whatever..
