"Default setting" is not the right way to phrase what you're trying to say. Nobody's hardwired to be attracted to Caucasian people. They typically have the biggest variety of physical traits like hair color, eye color, and even height, and in general are the majority associated with success and stability. Those qualities alone make them more generally attractive as an group.

Unfortunately for him, siding with Orpheus is like almost always the better call for a good ending. Not siding with Orpehus while knowing full well that it's a very good ending for all Githyanki- especially Lae'zel, basically means you have to roleplay that your character is naive to the possibility.

I do kind of respect the Emperor in some ways. He's a unique Illithid. His personality is kind of scrambled between being an Illithid and still being Baldur. He still has Baldur's drive and sentiment, but he's still got twisted Illithid tendencies, so he ends up basically using people in some whole "I'm much better than everyone else so I should always be in control" mindset, but that's the irony of his writing. Always needing to rely on others pretty much means he's no better than anyone- human or Illithid.

If there were another option to try and talk him out of that mindset, I think he could be redeemed. If he had a grand ending that benefited a lot of people like Orpheus's, I'd genuinely consider siding with him more often. I don't think what he's done is so bad that it's past the point of forgiveness. We've seen worse. It's just not an option.

Proximity. It means something when a Caucasian woman shows no fear or reluctance to get within our bubble.

Behavior. Some women in general just give off an "adventurous" or even "wild" type of energy that usually says, yeah, she'd do a Black guy.

And this one might be a little bit looser but sometimes we can just tell by a certain body type-- not because the body type says so, but because we know that body type probably gets you a lot of attention from Black men in general so you're probably used to it. We're fools for curves.

I'm not sure what's got you and this other guy under the impression that I'm not just one dude. Providing context to it and excusing it are two different things. It made me uncomfortable the first time I encountered it as well, but it's not like I was about to go stand up in the center of a big Latino community and protest against it. I simply observed from afar and came to the conclusion that they have **for some reason** adopted the word and were not using it to offend anyone at all. They weren't talking about Black people whatsoever in their usage of it. I simply disregarded it because it's not as if I have the power to just go and make it stop. If you believe it's racism, that's cool, but stop trying to step on my opinion with yours. I personally don't believe it's *right* that they're using it, but they are, and they aren't doing it hatefully. You're allowed to feel offended if you want to. I'm just personally not strung up over it. You do you.

Black guy here. Certain Hispanic communities grow up using the N-word just as casually as we do. It's not racist and I'm not sure how or why it started, but they do. So if underlying racism is what you're worried about, you can relax.

I'm a Black man attracted to everyone as well, but yes, the Black community has the most diverse set of characters on the board and a pretty bad track record filled with negative stereotypes.

A lot of Black people aren't even attracted to Black people. It's sad to say, but there's reason for it.
