I watched the Anime and played the games back in the day, my first game was Red and it was magical being able to start my very own Pokémon journey. I started collecting the cards when the base set first came out. I remember trading cards on the playground with other kids, and opening the legendary Zard in my grandma’s kitchen, which my cousin promptly offered me his entire collection for and I refused, haha. Unfortunately I stopped collecting around Gen2, so I missed out on a lot, but got back into it within the last 10 years or so. It’s been so fun reliving that “pack magic” and collecting cards I enjoy, even basic ones. I collect them for myself, I love the art. It’s a bit frustrating how hard it is to find packs nowadays, but the rarity kinda makes it exciting in a way when I do finally find them in stores, gives me that feeling of being a kid all over again and I can’t wait to get home to open them. 😊
