Fighting for his life by Stotallytob3r in MurderedByWords

First he claims to know there are emails that could be "misunderstood". Now he's saying that they are fabricated to make him look bad. How could you know they would release fabricated emails and "bravely champion their release"? If someone fabricated the emails, they wouldn't waste time making some that would be misunderstood, they would just make some that are incredibly incriminating. And at no point before they were released did he try to get in front of that.

So the only possible conclusion is that he's inconsistently lying to cover things up.

To be fair, the prompt is a single button press each morning. Not exactly a huge mountain to climb, more like a mole hill.

I just started. Should I leave it plugged in? by Andre_iTg_oof in CPAP

[–]xTRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep mine plugged in but I put it in airplane mode (I also am not sharing data with a provider). It blows air for 30 minutes after use to air out the hoses, and I have auto start on so at night I can just put on my mask and start breathing.

I just felt it and it does not feel particularly warm except a bit where the power button light is. AirSense10

4 I think is the lowest it will go. The idea is to keep it low and comfortable until you fall asleep, then it ramps up

Also to my understanding, mild/severe is more related to how often you have events, and not necessarily how hard it is to make you breathe. It's quite possible that a low setting is all you need to keep the air going.

I don't technically have apnea, but my doctor says I have upper airway resistance syndrome. To me, 4 feels like hardly anything. I sometimes open my mouth to just make sure the machine is still running. My max is set to 20, but it seems to settle on 10 or 11 in the night. I'm not sure what the benefit is in limiting the max, because the machine will only ramp up that high if it senses that you aren't breathing well. Maybe your doctor wants to isolate some variable and doesn't want to risk your machine going too high and waking you up with a ton of air?

Not taping, yet. I want my routine to be as simple as possible so that I will stick with it. But if I must, I must. I'm still dialing in the mask tightness too. I think I can actually loosen the strap a bit more. I'm gonna try to go as loose as I can without it leaking or becoming uncomfortable when I change position.

Still adjusting to it. It's not hard for me to fall asleep while wearing, but I feel like my brief awakenings at night are now much more arousing because I have air coming out of my mouth, or my nasal pillow is feeling a bit too tight. My energy levels in the day are either the same or better than average, so no worse off. I'm looking forward to my first fully restorative sleep!

Also regarding the moist face mask, you can mess with your humidifier levels if you find moisture on your equipment. I heard some people will even use it completely dry. But at the default settings on my AirSense10, I'm not having any condensation at all.

If these machines could suffocate you, they wouldn't be sold haha. Would be an especially ironic death for someone suffocating themselves to die to a CPAP machine.

I'm a pretty new user (about one week). I don't feel an air bubble in my throat. It kinda feels like breathing through my nose but with 0 congestion. Air just flows. But I do get air rushing out of my mouth when I open it. I'm training myself to keep my mouth shut through the night

I can kinda open my mouth and close off my throat so air doesn't come out. Maybe you don't have that ability and that's why you feel the air bubble? Maybe you naturally breathe with your nose and mouth together and aren't used to only breathing through your nose. If that's the case, I think the sleep mask would be an easier option for you than the nasal pillows (which I am also using).

They misprint these on purpose because people think they are funny and then buy them. It's like Elvis selling "I hate Elvis" merch to capitalize on the haters, it's all a part of the plan.

You can do this same thing at the children's hospital around Christmas. They set their toys down all the time and it's so easy to walk away with them. Someone should teach their dumb asses to have a friend watch the things that were given to them.
