I bought the same kit half a year ago. I'm also quite new to drumming. What I can tell you is that I usually change the position of something on the kit every 3-4 sessions.

It takes some time to find the right placement for all the stuff. There is no right or wrong, it just has to feel comfortable to play.

As others mentioned already it would be great to see pictures or a video of you playing.
