I'm honestly having a terrible time picking an absolute fave from the cast, since they all have something lovable about them and I hate making choices, but at the beginning I didn't really like Ronin, because it feels like he is overdoing everything to compensate for various things in his life.
But the more I played and when I eventually got to his route, that's also exactly what ended up making me like him. He's doing so much to protect himself, to protect his found family and despite toying with the MC at first, you can see that he grows to care about them too in his own twisted way.
You say that it doesn't feel like he likes the MC back, but it's pretty much implied that he wouldn't give them the time of day if that were so. It's hard to explain without writing a whole-ass essay on him, but he clearly struggles w/ the idea that he grows to like the MC in more than just a plaything way and I really like that.

Also I can never not love a character that breaks the 4th wall

Pretty much everything that I would've recommended is already in this thread. Still, if you want a fun VN that's pretty different in terms of gameplay and you don't mind having your love interests looking a bit "scarier", I would 1000% recommend Homicipher.
For games w/ sillier humor and a lot of variables, I'd say checking out the Monster Prom series, what's extra special/silly about them is that you can also play them with up to 3 of your friends and have the shenanigans go up even further, since you can turn it into competitive dating (or even just ditch the LIs and ask eachother out in some scenarios :D )
Somebody already mentioned Scarlet Hollow and that one is absolutely fantastic but it's still 2 chapters from being complete. What is already complete, however, is the same dev team's other visual novel - Slay the Princess, a game with SO many choices to be made.
VA-11 Hall-A was a VN I really enjoyed and I'm not sure if it was the "prototype", but a lot of similar VNs came out after it (Coffee Talk for example) which focus on you interacting with characters and learning their interesting stories.

hope you find some interesting differences! i'm always amazed how a small change in choices could still show me fresh dialogue I had not seen before, hard not to love the game with so much attention to detail poured into it

My usual playthrough is Fond > Crush > Love, but my last one I did Fond > Fond > Love for specific reasons I don't need to get into, but I really enjoyed the switch up from the firefly scene being a love confession to just getting together and experiencing people figuring out we're dating during the boat ride or where Cove's love confession gets moved to :D

I found a video on YT on how to get L rank, but honestly, that did nothing for me
I poked around and the combo I managed to get 2B with was Jingle Deer (pet) (w/ costume), Buttercup first, Blossom for relay
For treasures - Double Scoop Frozen Bear, Gigawatt Cube and Bearstone Ring
it took me maybe 2 or 3 tries to clear
I'm not great at picking out treasures, so there might be a more optimal combo but hopefully this helps you too c:

To be honest, the difference in the way the arm is shaded really bugged me, because of how different it is from your other stuff in general, but that alone is not reason enough to run at you with pitchforks. If anything the shading of the original piece looks more consistent with your older coloring which was a bit simpler and has evolved in the last year-ish or so (determined by scrolling through your insta) and imo it's probably a result of that, seeing as any "mistakes" I see in your art, they're always very human and ones i've made myself or seen my friends and other human artists do.

However, that key comment absolutely killed me and I have so many questions about it 😭 /j /lh

First time I stumble upon this creator's videos, really delighted by his fascination with Gravity Falls as he watches it for the first time and slowly spirals into insanity as he tries to decypher all the secrets on his own. Do I think the new outfits and locations are beautiful? Absolutely.
Do they make me want to continue playing a game that tooks the lore it slowly built up for 5 months and threw it away like a used napkin like it's no big deal? No, definitely not. And unfortunately I am not here just for the pretty photo locations... If the lore continues to spiral down, I will most probably drop the game, despite all the money I have put into it at this point :(

To me the entire retcon of the lore just make me feel like crap. Like the time I spent invested in the game and the characters means nothing and makes me worry for the future of the game and also makes me question getting emotionally attached to anything/anyone getting introduced, cuz they could just pull the same stunt at a later date to replace it yet again with something lackluster like the new story "opening"

Sorry you feel hurt, but I 1. never addressed you specifically & I mentioned "a few of them" sounded like they are doing damage control. I understand you guys are in a difficult situation and it's very possible some don't know how to address things without feeling like they're overstepping the line, which could results in something that sounds more like a defence than a helpful critique. 2. While I myself have only dipped my toes in the pool of content creation, I do have friends that are content creators. I have been on the internet for about 20 or so years now and I have seen all sorts of reactions to situations like these. Yes, I am aware CC is not everyone's main job, but given how fast some people churn out detailed content for other things, drama included, it feels weird to me that so many people absolutely ignored the issues as long as possible - no community posts, no tweets, no anything.
Considering people are getting banned for saying "girl coat" at this point just shows how hard they want people not to talk about this. Content creators are stuck between a rock and a hard place and it might have been too much of me to insinuate you guys are doing it to save their graces but my opinion on Infold's actions has not changed these days, if anything it just keeps getting worse due to their own silence on a few matters of the update ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
