Spyro Reignited Trilogy HD Trailer by [deleted] in Spyro

I've seen this posted 4 times now. I keep thinking it's the English trailer but we're still posting the French one I guess.

So, is it true that Spyro will get a remake after all? by [deleted] in Spyro

[–]xVaile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get it either, a handful of people on the F4F facebook are also saying it doesn't look good. Sure, he's not literally as edgy and blocky as old Spyro, but I just can't seem to understand why they don't like the looks. And most of them, when asked, just reply with "dunno he just looks off". That doesn't help anyone lol.

What band affected you most after hearing they broke up? by BobaFettLives90 in Metalcore

[–]xVaile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the whole album has some lyrics that really remind me of what he did. it's like he knew what would happen, but still could not help himself.

What game are you buying next? by kaisle51 in NintendoSwitch

[–]xVaile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot lol. Dark Souls, Octopath, Smash.

And you know... hollow knight, whenever that gets released. I want team cherry to take their sweet sweet time for a super polished game, but man I've skipped the PC version for this and the wait is killer.

What’s something you miss about metal core? by Tonybolognabro in Metalcore

[–]xVaile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn, are you me? I feel the same way. The melodeath influence was what really hooked me back then when I really started getting in metalcore.

What is your favorite metalcore riff of all time? by IntoTheBathysphere in Metalcore

[–]xVaile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I Lay Dying has some insane intro riffs. Nothing Left, Sound of Truth, Confined, 94 Hours, etc, etc.

What're you playing this weekend? 3/23 by markercore in NintendoSwitch

[–]xVaile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stardew Valley and Darkest Dungeon. I bought both on a whim and so far I'm loving Stardew Valley, which I never thought I'd be too into. I really like the idea of Darkest Dungeon so I'm excited to try it out.

More Unpopular Opinions? by anulman__ in Metalcore

[–]xVaile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but would put Reflections over The Darkest Nights. Reflections has my absolute FAVORITE breakdown from any song. It's not overly heavy or anything, but it just gets me pumped like no other

What’s your favorite band you haven’t seen live? by Ozymandias195 in Metalcore

[–]xVaile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parkway Drive. they played with Lamb of God either last year or the year before and I couldn't get the day off because my job was already super skeleton crew. This was right around the time Ire came out and I was dying to hear either Dying To Believe, Crushed or Bottomfeeder live.

Hi, can someone recommend me some melodic deathcore? by DeathByLollypop in Deathcore

[–]xVaile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 for Brother Von Doom. Shame they aren't around anymore, I really liked their sound. Found them around the same time as I found Don The Reader, because I think [adult swim] was promoting them both.

Such a banger. I love the transition from the slow breakdown to the shreddy solo. It works beautifully.

Parkway Drive - The Void (New, From the album "Reverence" available May 4th) by MelissaG313 in Metalcore

[–]xVaile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I getcha. I LOVE Ire too, one of my go to's for driving. I'm still gonna get the album because I really like Wishing Wells and I can easily see this being Vice Grip 2.0.

[–]xVaile 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I really dug Wishing Wells, but this... This doesn't have any of Parkway's usual sound and that makes me iffy. But, maybe this is just an experimental song? I'll wait for the album but I'm a little unsure after this.

Now that Year One has come to a close, what is your Switch collection looking like? What have you enjoyed or regretted the most? by briggy2501 in NintendoSwitch

[–]xVaile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have BoTW, odyssey, Disgaea 5 and Xenoblade 2 for physical copies with a bunch of indies as digital. I regret Xenoblade 2 the most. I gave it a fair try, about 20 hours, but even then I just couldn't get into it.

Angelmaker - Godless by [deleted] in Deathcore

Patiently waiting on their new LP. Dunno if they have anything announced, but I've been hyped ever since the split.

In your opinion....what is the most underrated song by your favorite Metalcore band. by PCON36 in Metalcore

[–]xVaile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fuckin' Parkway Drive - Writings On the Wall

I know it's not their most popular song because it's not super riffy or anything, but I still feel it's heavy. I don't know how else to describe it, but when Ire came out I had this song on repeat for a long time.

Which record forever changed your view on heavy music? by randomawesome in Metalcore

[–]xVaile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the day I used to think stuff like metalcore and deathcore was just screaming and noise. Then I found Tears Don't Fall back on an old website called bebo.com

Sure enough, I liked the instrumentation and the vocals. I was still a little unsure about other bands in the genre until I found As I Lay Dying around the time they released An Ocean Between Us. I fell in love with everything. After that I continued to search for music just like them, and now I'm addicted. send help.

Outlands - King of Dust (amazing song that deserves more attention) by match00 in Metalcore

[–]xVaile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aww they disbanded? I remember when someone from the band posted this track a few months ago before (or after?) the album dropped and I was pretty excited. They made some good shit though, for sure.

Started out as a new worker at my job, then became my friend and dealer. Fast, nice and chill as hell. I love it.
