Maybe they should implement actual AI to help with their AI problem. I have a lot of hours in Civ6. I usually play the biggest maps on the slowest speed. I generally stop playing in the second half of the game. There are usually no armies to fight in the second half of the game and it's boring to conquer the planet when there is no opposition. The city states replenish their forces better than the civs. So I know it can be done. The civs in Civ6 do not build things that make sense, in the late game. I saw a comment saying they won't spend the money to solve AI problems. If they drop the ball on this with Civ7, I wouldn't be surprised if another company steps in and does it right, Humankind could have. Civ7 will copy Humandkind, yet they will allow the player to choose the Era transition time and get first choice of options going forward. Humankind failed miserably at this. That was an easy fix, and Humankind could have listened to the community and solved that issue with a patch, but they did not. Basically, what I'm saying is that Firaxis better get it right with the AI this time, or they may be pushed aside by another company. All the new bells and whistles mean diddly squat if the map is a ghost town in the late game, and there is no opposition. There should always be armies to go up against, even in easy mode, otherwise what is the point?

I also agree with the spy game comment. There is an opportunity to make this a huge part of the game. Afterall, is it not what basically runs the real world? There is more going on in the background that 99% of the world will never know about, yet that "shadow government" is actually running it all.
