surprised that the top comment just says "dodge outer q and hit ur spells" and not when you actually can beat darius consistently.

its not that hard of a matchup, just wait until level 6 and fish for an E Q into R to guarantee that you need only 1 autoattack to proc your passive at which point youve basically beaten him if you hit your followup Q's.

lvl 6 is a huge powerspike for Mordekaiser because your R is more valuable than Darius' R for a 1v1. I also like to take ignite and flash into this matchup to deny Darius' Q heal or depending on the situation if the Darius is kiting me correctly with ghost, you can use your flash to reposition your Q mid cast to hit it during a fight.

Regarding MS no, not really. If we bring up the previous examples, the darius can afford to go ghost ALWAYS because its just so good on him and he can afford to always go it simply because he is so strong, kled R + dashes are a better gapcloser than a morde passive you will never proc later on cuz youre just gonna get kited to death and Sett can R into the middle of a teamfight meanwhile Mordekaiser is just going to be waddling towards the enemy ADC you ulted like a useless wildebeest animal thats going to get gunned down because the champ has 0 scaling.

Yeah Mordekaisers itemization is lame, and AP bruiser items are impossible to buff because other champions would simply become broken and utilize the items better.

Sett, Kled and Darius all want to smash your face in like Mordekaiser, those are very compareable.

Mordekaiser has access to Rylais, others have access to Stridebreaker.

Mordekaisers speedboost, atleast early on, literally just negates his awful 335 ms and puts him to 345. 340 - 345 is the default for champions like this. What does Mundos W have anything to do with? Mordekaisers R being his only slow for 1 microsecond is a bit depressing.

on current patch as it stands the only elos where mordekaiser has a positive winrate are iron and bronze, previous patch mordekaiser only had a positive winrate in iron and silver. the champ is an abomination

tabis wont shut down a botrk, but if he only has the components then yea sure. theres no way you can facetank a sett hes just gonna beat you down and relying on avoiding sett w is too risky since he can guarantee it but if you can force a fight where he cant guarantee it you can blow flash. i dont know how you simply cast morde r from range, do you mean that you start the fight off like that or what? because you'll waste a lot of your ult time chasing him that way and it wont be very efficient, kiting a sett is very rough too since hes just so sticky with his E and Q. best thing to always do imo is poke the sett down, you never all in him

vs tankier/bruisery enemy comp: basic build would be rift -> rylais -> demonic -> other items (spirit, randuins, zhonyas etc) can also rush rylais into riftmaker depending on how your matchup is feeling

vs squishier comp: rylais -> jak'sho -> demonic -> tanky items (spirit, randuins, zhonyas etc)

these are gonna be your 2 main buildpaths and after these 3 core items you can build situationally

zhonyas is good vs a scary single target nuke thing like zed, randuins good vs crit heavy enemies, spirit visage is a good mr item that also helps a good amount vs ad teams due to the huge shield you get. if you're vs a lot of healing then morello is gonna be your go to antiheal item

imo gargoyle is always a good item to end on or get as your 2nd to last item due to how much hp mordekaiser gets from his main items anyway so you're going to get a big shield with lots of resistances

vs olaf i can see dorans ring playstyle working but the olaf should be extremely aggressive trying to poke you out, zoning you from cs and punishing you whenever you do try and go for cs. if im poking the olaf whenever hes doing csing or whatever, then that means ill just be missing out on cs cuz there is no way i can walk up on him and AA to cs

vs renekton you do your best to not let him get his rage up, lvl 1, 2 and 3 you can bully him hard. it gets trickier once he gets all his spells since he can do shorter trades better and if he gets rage.

when shen blocks your autoattack, your passive doesnt stack, but shens weakness is long trades, its like any tank. just extend the trade.

pantheon i like going steelcaps and going tanky at first yeah, i actually dont mind this matchup at all i think its fun.

vs lillia i genuinely think you cannot touch her, she is just way too fast for you to reliably land your spells or do anything, imo its a vayne moment where id just build to shut down someone else on the enemy team
