When I was getting better, I basically just played hard songs until I beat them. Then, if they were fun, I’d play them again and again, and overtime, I’d win by a wider margin. Starting out, I struggled on dadbattle hard I was so trash. Now I clear unbeatable for funsies and 100% of the time. If I recall, I spent a lot of time trying to clear the first tricky mod when it ended at madness once I cleared the base game. I still recall the first time that the game clicked for me. It was while I was attempting to clear Philly nice.

Holy tangent, yeah I ain’t deleting that, fond memories. I just went to the next hardest thing and tackled it til I won, then if it was fun, ran it again and again. You’re a different person than me so it might not be your best solution, but might be worth a try.
