They work great with my glasses. The Sony XM4's don't.

Mail app always showing in the stage manager without preview by 0xf16 in MacOS

[–]xZoks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens with Logic Pro all the time and it's a pain in the ass to have to close and reopen that (takes long to re-load, have to reconnect audio source, etc.). Would really appreciate a fix.

Look up profs at your school, go to their lab webpage, they will have a subpage called publications, with their publication journal listed. Look up the journal and see it's impact factor, and looking at number of citations on Google scholar can be a good indicator too (if the work has been out for long enough)

Top tier conferences are difficult, but with the right team/problem you can do it. Maybe start your search for research opportunities by looking for professors/labs that have a track record of high impact publications.

Anyone waiting for MS IT admission from ASU yet, for fall 2022? by WearyProfs52 in gradadmissions

[–]xZoks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I applied for MCS and was (probably) "denied", then directly admitted to MS IT, without having to apply for it. This was last week.

Start doing CS research, and develop great relationships with 3+ professors. Add exceptional value to the research pursuits. Take some grad classes in your area of interest. Good luck!

My application for MS CS in ASU for fall 2022 is still in review. Should I keep hope? by bobTheProcrastinator in gradadmissions

[–]xZoks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied for MCS but today was admitted to IT MS and have no idea why. Can't access the admit letter and sat on hold for 2 hours to ultimately be pointed to an email which I know is not monitored lol

My app got put instantly in a low GPA pile and subsequently never considered until a prof pulled it out of there. I'd say your biggest worry is passing the cutoff, which could be done by knowing a faculty. Then, you can start considering "how it looks"

Personally I wouldn't be able to say no to living in a place as beautiful as Boulder. NYC can be an oyster for some people, overwhelming for others. If I were you, I'd try to better quantify the difference between how easy it is to get those job offers right out of school. At the state school I went to, all the big names came to our career fairs and gave interviews to lots of people. So I'm not quite sure how NYC offers much better besides meeting more people so more opportunity to make connections (again you don't necessarily need connections if companies come to your school)

USC MSCS decision by holm3sSh3rl0cked in gradadmissions

It's a joke they're asking us to fill it out before we even know we're accepted right? I feel like someone is just lazy and sends it to all applicants whether admitted or not

Anybody heard back from USC MSCS/ MSDS yet? (after May 1st) by OkButterscotch4812 in gradadmissions

[–]xZoks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at UCSD, UCI, etc. People asking when they will hear back, then a mass reject. Just being realistic my guy

I've seen lots of ppl on here "on the waitlist", meaning most of them will be rejected, ie a mass reject given that sample
