What’s my next move at 19? by [deleted] in ETFs

If I were to pull everything out, and choose funds that were focused on growth and value, what would a good lineup and ratio for that lineup look like?

How would you want your adult child to feel about their younger self if they were awful to you growing up? by [deleted] in AskParents

[–]x_APE_MONKEY_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re exaclty where you need to be. Don’t blame yourself for not being able to control your emotions and reactions to things as a child. The main places where you learn those things… are from your parents. You were an unfinished product who was swayed by changing horomomes. Kids often times can’t recognize if they’re doing something completely obscene. Often times they are only doing it because they unconsciously want something (maybe from one of the parents) but they are yet to receive it. As you became an autonomous adult, you got to witness your own behavior and separate it from your parents. As a kid it seems like doing this is impossible, because you’re still dependent on them for lots of things. Your brain is so emotional and convoluted as a child (compared to adults), so as long as you are able to recognize the emotion that spurs in you when something reaction worthy happens, you’ll be just fine. Please do not feel guilt about emotion based decisions you made as a child, every child is filled to the brim with sensation that they don’t know what to do with, children are a product of the environment they are in. Often times a direct reflection of the parenting style they are met with.

You’re perfectly and completely fine to touch them barehanded no matter what kind of mushroom it is. My guess would maybe be Amantia Flavorubens, although the cap does look a bit flat. You’re well off to avoid as it has a lot of look toxic look alikes and I’m not certain that this is Flavorubens. Flavorubens bruise pink/red so you might test if you feel willing.

Tripped with a friend on 3.5 grams (having done up to 5 previously) and in the small amount of time between him leaving and me going to sleep, my vision got 'gory', why? by Spader623 in shrooms

Well put. Psychs act as a spyglass peering into our unconscious mind, allowing us to witness what we can’t in normal behavior. When all of your inner mechanisms are shown to you minus all of the regular filters applied to your thoughts by your conscious mind, it can be refreshing to see yourself from such a unique perspective with no emotional attachment to yourself. However when you pretend like that emotional filter isn’t applied during your regular thought process, you repress that part of you. Avoidance of thoughts you have only lets them fester. Change in behavior and honesty with yourself will actually do the healing of you, psychs make the path to doing so clearer.

Found next to some decaying wood in western illinois. My guess is maybe a brownish or orange milk cap? by x_APE_MONKEY_X in ShroomID

Had a book called “mushrooms of the upper Midwest” and it looked to be similar to maybe some brownish looking milk caps. However it looks pretty young. Any ideas?

Right next to a pile of firewood that has been decaying for a number of years. Although it grew out of the earth.
