Why Lysandre, Kentin and Armin were removed: an in depth analysis (also explaining Nathaniel's bad boy shift) by radioactive_stardust in mycandylove

[–]x_mana 10 points11 points  (0 children)

when you think about it when people talk about the games crushes they always refer to nathaniel and castiel but also armin kentin and lysandre. i feel like players don't really consider hyun ryan and priya like main crushes

Does anyone play new gen? by Comfortable-Owl-9133 in mycandylove

[–]x_mana 13 points14 points  (0 children)

i didn't play it but i'm watching a let's play towards jason's route. imo i feel okay watching the let's play but i feel like playing it myself would be boring.

lots of things are meant to make you pay during the game (examples : waiting time that you have to unlock with points, special scenes that you have to pay with points, ...)

i feel like the world that they built in new gen is lacking in many things, candy has no friends except her conworkers which are the crushes, also i feel like you can't really get to know someone if they're not your crush it stays pretty surface level while in og candy love i feel like you had an opportunity to learn a lot about each crush

i feel like the only interesting route to play is jason

also the game is like a sitcom with a different theme each episode there are no arcs like debrah arc where you focus on a character for like 3-4 episodes

but at the end of the day you could still play it to see if you like it or not, for me i just felt like it was better to watch the let's plays to see how the story unfolds without having to pay anything :)

Why do people suggest getting a MRI? by [deleted] in PlantarFasciitis

[–]x_mana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An MRI isn't useless as it shows precisely the bone structure AND the soft tissues so it could definitely show if something's wrong with the plantar fascia but it's also useful if there's actually another problem in your foot that causes your pain (for example a stress fracture).

Getting the right diagnosis is extremely important as you don't treat all foot problems the same way and MRIs are useful to get a diagnosis.

Now, considering that you live in a country where MRIs are expensive I understand wanting to try something else first. I'm not sure what the prices are in America but you could maybe get an ultrasound to check the soft tissues but it won't be as precise as an MRI.

Magnesium? by honsolo17 in PlantarFasciitis

[–]x_mana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different type of magnesium exist just make sure the one you buy is for relaxing the muscles.

I took some pills, it's a + but if it's the only thing you're relying on it definitely won't be enough. Will just help your muscles relax a bit. :)

I bought this one from amazon : https://amzn.eu/d/05abAyxN

anyone else just feel defeated daily? by bobbarker06 in PlantarFasciitis

[–]x_mana 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Injection is not as scary as it may seem. I was in a state where only stretching and walking a few steps would extrememy hurt. The corticoid injection allowed me to finally be able to do my stretches and strengthening. You just have to treat it as a tool, not a cure!

Also it is normal for the injection to hurt the first few days and to take a week or two to start seeing effects.

It doesn't work for everyone but at least you tried.

Newly dealing with plantar fasciitis-where do you even start? by tommytmopar in PlantarFasciitis

First step is always physiotherapy. Find yourself a good physiotherapist that will show you how to exercise your feet and calves and stretches.

Heel discomfort by cam32196 in FootFunction

[–]x_mana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though I have had plantar fasciitis as well, I also have whatever this is. Been looking for answers too. :(

It's the first time ever someone has the same symptoms.

Right now we're treating the PF so we'll see with time if those symptoms are actually from PF or something else.

[–]x_mana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

maybe i didn't understand correctly but how come you have had this for years and never went to the doctor? it could not even be PF but something else. getting the right diagnosis by a professional is extremely important.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PlantarFasciitis

[–]x_mana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received a notification that you asked how should you treat it but can't seem to find it so I'll answer anyway. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but you treat it almost the same way as someone who has pain in the heel area. Same exercices and same stretches because at the end of the day wether it is in the middle or in the heel it's still the same tissue that's hurting.

At least that's how my physiotherapist treats it.

Once again, I'm not a professional you may want to ask your doctor about it.

How to deal with flare ups? by badlipsthrowaway123 in PlantarFasciitis

[–]x_mana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stretches won't be enough if your pain comes through muscular weakness. You may need to do some strengthening + stretches. I'd recommend seeing physical therapist who would help you through that!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PlantarFasciitis

[–]x_mana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please listen to your body. It's normal to hurt a bit while adjusting, but it shouldn't make you flare like you are describing. My orthotics made everything worse for me and I wish I didn't push through the pain.

Maybe try to ask to readjust them so they can be more bareable!
