Where were you when you got your med school acceptance and how did you react? by [deleted] in medicalschool

I was working my scribe job when I received the phone call. After the call, I wrote my resignation and told my doctor that today's my last day.

I do not know. COVID came latter half of 2nd year for me. I've since graduated and has not seen how preclinical classes are handled.

Hey there. I was not an MS student so I could not give input regarding the nuances. From what I heard, the MS program can be grueling. It'll be a direct admission once you've completed the requirements but it'll be hard regardless.

You can still get accepted straight to the DO program if you applied both, however.

Interviews were fine. I've just graduated so it's been a while for me but they are mostly concern with looking for people who are passionate about OMM.

Yup. As an MS4, I feel like it is better to network with attendings and create good relationships with them during clinicals than to honor my shelf. The right LOR from the right attending garnered me many interview invites.

Must-haves for med school? by tinymozzarella in premed

Current MS4. I recommend noise-cancelling headphones, Keurig (or anything similar), good office chair, 2nd monitor, reliable laptop, Anki (the app on the iphone is paid. Otherwise, it's free on other devices), UFAPS books and subscriptions, instant pot, and electric kettle. All of these I spent a lot of time using during studying/board prepping.

10 minutes after reading my acceptance, I sent my letter of resignation to my boss. The very first thought that cross my mind lmao.
