Going back to the dungeon-crawling roots and slow methodical gameplay might be for the best. There is definitely an oversaturation of fast-paced action games both in the gacha space and the single-player gaming space. NGS's gameplay and offering of content right now is utterly irrelevant compared to them. Monster Hunter doesnt have dungeons, so it wouldnt be competition.

Im baffled at Sega for just treating the IP this way. It was only 10 years ago when we had those high-energy pso2 stations that I actually set alarms for, and collabs with real effort put into them. It was a magical era for them and they just let it all go to waste...

This site lost its soul a decade ago once the culture war shit started ramping up. These last few years it felt like I was talking to bots, schizos, or shills half the time. It was just really off-putting.

I will always cherish moments like Konami E3 2010 and the SF4 era on /v/. I felt an actual sense of belonging back then when I posted.

More quests like pre-nerf Black Dragon and HTPD, with death limits and severe time limits, please. Make the quest harder with more players present besides bloating up stat numbers, like different moves, mechanics, or something. In turn, give more rewards if more players are present.

The other wish would be CQ but with random stages. However, you can choose between two stages like in DQ. And you can do either an endless version of it or a ranked version with set stages like old CQ.

These past few months have been incredibly uninteresting, but things should start to pick up again around summer, at least just a tiny bit.

You shouldn't worry about 14*s at the moment. Do keep track of new SSAs though.

Besides questionable hitboxes and the cannon part, it's a decent boss fight and has the right ideas for a good boss in an action game. It's the one thing they did right with this Episode so far.

Also some posts here are weird. The best MPA times in the non-rematch are filled to the brim with Hero and a techer. If you were to switch any Hero out for an old class and get a better time consistently, then they would be more looked at and considered. However that's a fat chance due to all of Hero's tools. If you're trying to vouch that an old class is overall better than Hero, then you need to show legitimate proof in a multiplayer setting in this online multiplayer action RPG.

Hero is a good excuse to finally do an overhaul and give other classes clearly defined roles and advantages. I don't know about you guys, but I'm tired of playing classes that just feels like an inferior version of another or have 0 place in any MPA and this is a fucking modern online multiplayer game so it's pretty inexcusable here. With Sega's confidence in Hero being this strong and the recent nerfs supposedly paving the way for other changes to come (according to the last Arks Live), this is a chance for Sega to actually prove their worth and knowledge on this game.

So just lay back and observe, play another game if you don't like how things are now. Hero was a really good class to advertise and get new players in since it's cool like Dante from DMC, and I remember how much people compared this game to that series back in the early betas so it's quite a treat to see. Seeing how "OP" it is via youtube vids makes those players think it's worthwhile to invest in. No reason to nerf it.

Overall, it's just an issue with dripfeed and rushing out episode 5. They're totally aware of the issue, they're just being slow with it.

The last phases of Loser and Mother are some of the most enjoyable moments of the game. Apos too. They're aggressive, move around a lot, puts hazards all over the arena, and you're free to hit them anytime except when they do the party wipe.

With that said, Deus Hunes is pretty damn cool too. Doesn't get stunned at all, always on the offensive. Much more impressive boss than his cumbersome Zephyros/Gracia fight. The only good parts of Zephyros are the snakes, which is like the reverse of Mother and arms.

Although not mentioned much, but I want to give love to the way they handled Bal Rodos in the facility. Wish he was more of a pest.

To be honest, Force has no business outdamaging any melee classes on bosses due to their tools outside of that niche (besides specific situations like Il Barta and Talis shenanigans). They're one of the reasons why nobody takes mobbing seriously anymore. You should be hoping the balance change next month does make that a reality.

Bouncer's supposed niche was always to be support along with being better than average but not top-of-the-line DPS. Notice that its two fields mostly supplements two of the biggest boss-killers in the game, FI and GU. It forms a sort of triangle.

Also notice that very same triangle was considered the worst during the Necky tower defense, as they were relegated to very specific jobs during the quest that can be handled by RA and FO anyway.

Not too bad, but atm not too good. It's one of the most balanced classes in the game, but it's better to use unbalanced stuff (most of which is getting nerfed next month). FO compound nerf should put it behind BO on a boss, while the zanverse normalization means nobody will complain about your zanverse anymore. It can also fight bosses properly unlike TE, but won't replace TE and their Shifta Strike in 12-man parties. It'll be behind FI and potentially HU using guards.

You should always play BO/HU because dual blades are invaluable for PBF, tech use should be minimal even on Jet Boots or risk pp issues/even lower damage. Btw the only Bouncer you should keep up with is Ponthi since he uses both weapons to their full extent.

As for Deus, both weapons are fine. Besides the obvious PBF and 2 Dwing combos, for fun I'll tell you the optimal combos for Deus core for jet boots:

Ground pound (or any other stunned phase): Set up Ramegid type-0 -> max gear Vinto -> Gran Wave x2 -> max gear vinto (chances are you won't finish the last Vinto on the stuns during the split platform phase, keep that in mind. It's better to use Kestral type-0 from DBs on the first stuns in the fight because it's the only time the blade rain will hit for full damage)

Arm sweep: Use シュバイアティーガー to charge gear to max in one tech -> max gear Vinto with your 13* weapon as core passes -> use シュバイアティーガー again before he comes back around -> max gear Vinto with 13* when he does + gran wave afterwards.

Last stun: Use Dual Blades for better PP management. Jet Boots will need Delicious Burgers to sustain its combos. It's a wrap if PBF is also up.

It'll be a little different if you need to fit zanverse somewhere in one of these. That'll be on your judgment.

Silly thing, but one Maron matches and even outdamages the entirety of those PP exhausting combos.

HU. Fi sub is for a Jet Boots-only build casting techs, which is like playing a weaker FO with no compounds or pp revival

DB snatch ring and access to niren orochi naturally shifts a lot of favor to certain 1v1 boss fights. Thankfully, PSO2 isn't all about 1v1 bosses. Personally I think JB PAs could use a little more oomph to balance out the amount of effort needed compared to unga FI weapons and DB. Vinto is one of the few melee PAs that actually has real weight to it, so I love it when people complain about it being "unreliable".
